In 'I, Mudd' Norman proceeds to tell Kirk that he is no threat to humans....right after he beats the living daylights out of Scotty and his engineering crew.![]()
But I assume he was able to calculate his blows so as not to kill, only incapacitate?

In 'The Alternative Factor' Kirk, Spock, Lazarus and a bunch of redshirts go down to the planet in search of the missing dilithium crystals. A close up of the group shows Spock, but the wide shots show Frank Vinci dressed as Spock.
And Eddie Paskey as Kirk! I don't think that's Robert Brown as Lazarus either. Nice find!

As everybody knows, "The Alternative Factor" was behind schedule because John Drew Barrymore abandoned the Lazarus role and had to be replaced. I wonder if this shot was filmed by a second unit while Shatner and Nimoy filmed another scene at the same time. That could have made up some lost time if they had the money and a second unit director available.
They used the helm console as the transporter console in both pilots.
Wow, and neither did I! It's always so cool to learn new stuff about Star Trek.I can't believe I never noticed that!
