Hewlett and Picardo to appear on SGU!!

Would have preferred Shepperd to show up, Picardo apart from the last season was never a major SGA character.

I would have liked Sheppard to visit SGU also, but I'm not sure what a gunslinger like him would offer storywise.

With McKay it is a no brainer that he'll be working with Eli and Rush, and Woolsey will probably be interacting with Wray.

Snore. Neither of them will add what SG:U desperately needs, some kick-ass fun quotient. They shoulda gone for Shep.

Several posters here predicted that these two would be the ones who would show up. I don't know how McKay will fit with the show's style, but you never know.

I've read that the Atlantis movie is still being put on the back burner, will be a stand alone story and will be set shortly after season 5 but do you think they might make any current reference to it during there time on SGU or would this spoil any plot points for the movie?

Magliozzi's blog said they were going to adjust the script of the Atlantis movie so it happens after the Universe crossover, and mentions some of the complications that leads to.

This seems like the beginning of continuity problems. Especially since some people have given up on Universe, how will that effect their understanding of the Atlantis movies?

Just because the Atlantis movie takes place after this SGU episode doesn't mean you need to see the SGU episode to understand it. After all, had you never seen an episode of DS9 or Voyager, would you be confused watching First Contact what with Worf and the Defiant and an EMH being there?

Also, wasn't there also similar problems with Continuum? It was originally supposed to take place before Atlantis's fourth season, but because of it's release date, they ended up inserting a line in the fifth season premiere to set things up? Mind you, that didn't impact continuity that much, other than Carter being listed in the credits with the wrong rank.

I wonder if McKay will be McKay-like, or if they'll dour him down to the SGU level.
