Heroes Virtually Cancelled

Interesting, you mean that they much hyped Lesbian kiss didn't work to get ratings like they thought it would?

I dont know why they would have thought that. Buffy did it several years ago as did other scifi shows.

Whos running these shows late 20 somethings.

Ah memories... Do you remember how we all cheered when Badass Hiro came to warn Present Hiro?

They should have killed Hiro instead of Nathan.

They should have killed everyone instead of Nathan. Idiots offed their best character!

Whos running these shows late 20 somethings.

Hollywood is run by people who will never admit to themselves or the world that they passed the age of 30. Immaturity and crassness are two strategies they use to maintain their pathetic facade.

The most astonishing part is that when Firefly did it, the scene wasn't even in the Fox promo. (Also, incidentally, the last episode aired before the axe.)

I wouldn't be too saddened. They had a plan in the first season and have pretty much been going through the motions later.

^ Something cheaper.
Leno was cheaper. Cheaper don't work when the rating suck even for cheap. :D They need a philosophy that isn't "least bad option."

But this is the problem - NBC thinks that by continuing to churn out cheap shows like those prime time game shows and Leno, they will retain viewers. The market is a lot more competitive than that and NBC is not the only entertainment entity failing viewers right now.

If they will not put forth a serious effort, why should viewers stick around? NBC is also lacking talent in the programming department. They need people like Brandon Tartikoff from the past, that knew how to produce TV shows AND cultivate audiences for them.

They think they will cut their losses. They can't reasonably expect that viewers will not continue to bail when given such appalling choices. Trouble is, it's loser-thinking. They need to think like winners. I think they first need to clean house! :rommie:

Yeah, I figured that would be who it was. It's why I'm no longer watching. He can come on over to my show now, where he would make a most excellent addition.

but seriously,
why didnt they just let him go at the end of last season? Yeesh! Im sure the guy would have liked to have moved on & found new (possible better)work.

I hope they at least give Nathan a proper farewell & that his loved ones are shown actually mourning him this time.

does anyone think Pasdar would make a great Trek captain?

also explains the whole "didnt know he got axed until he read the script" thing. Adrian really didnt deserve that. :klingon:

That is unbelievably cheap! I TOLD them they are not allowed to tout Nathan as the "big death" because THEY ALREADY KILLED NATHAN! :rommie: How cheap can this show get? Trying to take credit for killing the same character twice!?!? Why can't they have the cojones to axe Hiro or even Sylar, at this point even I'm getting sick of Sylar.

They could kill one of the two Sylars they have bopping around and keep the other one. Anyway, if they axed Pasdar, doesn't that mean the character they killed was Sylar? I'd even have preferred they kill Matt or Noah. At least it wouldn't be a cheap, sleazy dodge.

Good gort. I hope Adrian Pasdar gets a kick-ass show next season to make up karma-lly for this disgusting treatment.

If this show is indicative of how Tim Kring runs things, then I hope he never lands another gig.

I come back from my vacation and find this out! AP should not have been let go this idiotically. But then again I stopped caring about Heroes from this season. It's like the show completely lost the edge it once had in S1. It was the best show on TV and now its literally the worst! I am not surprised it got cance... I am sorry "not given an option for a 5th season", like another sci-fi show was not given earlier last year. :shifty:

NBC should leverage the shows they have on other networks...
Put SGU on the peacock. It's carrying SciFi right now, anyway.
