Wow, Landry turns you down for a hotter chick (Tyra) and it turns you to a life of crime.

So Mohinder and Claire become the uber-villains? I can't really buy that.

So what did not-Isaac do to Matt? Is Matt gaining powers too?

Above average. The best bits were with Sylar and Noah. It's a shame Jesse had to die so early (as I thought Francis was going to be in more episodes than 3).

There's a lot more happening this season than the last one. I voted "Above Average" and really liked it.

Since the real Peter was trapped in Jesse's body, I wonder if he was able to "absorb" his sonic blast powers as well as the others' abilities (magnetism, pyrokinesis, and superstrength).

Peter already has Nikki's superstrength. Does he really need to be a fear vampire to have super duper strength?

You know, maybe he can adopt Micah since he has both parents' powers. :p

Er, Claire was annoying in this episode. I don't know why. Her mom was too a bit.

It was an average episode.

I think they are starting to really start spreading it a little thin with everyone doing there own thing there is too many storylines going on.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This show would benefit greatly with a tighter focus. The cast should be trimmed by a third, if not by half.

Keepers:
Noah Bennett--of course
Angela Petrelli
Sylar
Elle
Tracy Strauss
Nathan Petrelli
Peter Petrelli
Clare--even though she's annoying
the Haitian

Back burnered till later:
Matt Parkman
Hiro
Ando

Gone:
Mohinder
Maya
Daphne

Truth be told, I could live without Matt, Hiro, and Ando permanently.

They just need to keep these character together! Season 1 built up to everybody ending up in New York. They should have kept them all together at that point, instead of having everyone go back to their separate lives.

It's fine to add new character every once in a while, but only when you have a solid core cast who have the same motivations and goals.

Also, I really hope that they drop the time travel after this season. I am so sick of them fighting because someone from the future is unhappy with the way things turned out.

...And thus ends Sylar's burgeoning spikeification! Sylar's the best when he's this weird predatory evil, and now he's back to just impersonating people he's met or killed. He introduced himself as Special Agent Andrew Hansen, which I thought was a great touch. I like how he admits to Noah that even he isn't biting Mama Petrelli's line entirely, but c'mon, it's Sylar. He loves to pretend to be other people- -and the Petrelli's are pretty important...

I actually like Daphne, but Hiro's dropping IQ points seems to annoy me. Though I think that's the point- -Hiro's charm has always been in his insistance to follow comic book tropes, but after two apocalypses averted in such a fashion, I think we're supposed to see he's losing touch with reality a bit. Not, like, that he's crazy, but it's effecting his common sense. I mean, did he really think that his plan was going to work? In the first season when they pulled the 'quick, disguises!' thing, it was a pretty simple ploy- -this had a whole dialogue and blah blah blah, I think you were supposed to think that Hiro's plan was to annoy the Haitian until Ando, as an Usher, told the Haitian to give Hiro the briefcase- -and then he would? That makes no sense. Ando's plan- -distract 'em and hit 'em with something heavy- -WAS a plan. In fact, everything that's gone wrong in Hiro's storyline this season has been entirely his fault. I'll forgive it all, though, just for the "What are you doing?!" "I'm being awesome!" exchange- -I laughed way too much at that.

Also, Peter, though he has the IQ of a toilet brush, finally got another 'badass' moment in the bank there. He's one of our two alliteration characters, so even though the writers seem to hand him the idiot ball all of the time, he's gotta get some props.

Next week looks great. Was Sylar canoodling with Mister Muggles? Looks like FuturePete goes onto a trip to the destroyed future. How, how, how I hope not only is everything changed now- -but the Sylar we see in the preview is FutureSylar. Yes, that's what happens to Sylar in four years. He turns into...that.

Actually, considering the Haitian, that probably wouldn't be that odd, would it?

Did anybody else think that Nikki looked way too good for somebody who died in a fiery explosion?

but the Sylar we see in the preview is FutureSylar. Yes, that's what happens to Sylar in four years. He turns into...that.

One, that future Sylar that became President is different to this one we shall see next week, as this is a different future.

Also it will be interesting to see how the two Petrelli brothers react to finding out that Sylar is their brother, as Angela hasn't told anyone, and you wonder if Sylar knows about her power yet. Only the future Peter does.

Above Average...

Sylar playing good cop was interesting but am sorry Angela is so stupid because we all know Sylar can never be trusted. Am loving the speedy chick and swear she and Hiro have some really good chemistry going on there so hope they don't just drop her character after this formula stuff.

I am not liking the whole Claire story, I can't see anymore room for her character because how the hell can she fight villians she has no power but healing.

YEAH...Nikki's DEAD! Wahoo!
Micah is probably gone for good: BONUS!

All in all though...still average for me, but, better than last week.

I'm curious and excited by the pairing of Noah and Sylar and I hope it's not done.

But...Noah's looking for a weak spot for Sylar and then he can kill him? Couldn't the Haitian stand next to him? And then...boom...shoot him? True, though, we don't know the extent of Sylar's Claire power...he said SHE can't die...but, what about him...

AND...Hiro and Ando...quickly becoming the stupidest characters...I LOVE them in the first season because of their inocence...but that doesn't mean stupidity. And it also ignores their journey so far.

I missed the last half of the episode (grrr)... can somebody please post a recap of it?
Thanks so much !!

AVERAGE

I'm not impressed. After getting caught up on "one of the hottest shows" with DVDs I'm finding this season to continue to have a "been there, done that" vibe.

The good:
Noah & Sylar: enough said
Micah - this kid can out act half the cast and his power is cool in a 21st century world.

The bad:
Hiro/Ando/Daphne
Nathan/Tracy
Claire/Meredith
Peter/Future Peter
Parkman and walkabout Joe

Thank god we didn't have to deal with Mohinder and Maya also this episode.

The best I can say is that it was better than any episode of Bionic Woman however I found episodes of New Amsterdam much better.

I voted above average. So far I'm liking most of the storylines, except for Claire's, I don't know why exactly, but it justn't isn't doing much for me right now. But I liked everything else about the episode, especially Hiro and Ando's interactions with Daphne, and Noah and Sylar. I have to admit that I am very curious where exactly they are headed with Matt and the new painter guy, because at this point I am clueless. Same goes for the Tracy Strauss storyline.

When Sylar was near Angela, the clocks starting ticking. It was creepey, i think he knows about her power.
