...And thus ends Sylar's burgeoning spikeification! Sylar's the best when he's this weird predatory evil, and now he's back to just impersonating people he's met or killed. He introduced himself as Special Agent Andrew Hansen, which I thought was a great touch. I like how he admits to Noah that even he isn't biting Mama Petrelli's line entirely, but c'mon, it's Sylar. He loves to pretend to be other people- -and the Petrelli's are pretty important...
I actually like Daphne, but Hiro's dropping IQ points seems to annoy me. Though I think that's the point- -Hiro's charm has always been in his insistance to follow comic book tropes, but after two apocalypses averted in such a fashion, I think we're supposed to see he's losing touch with reality a bit. Not, like, that he's crazy, but it's effecting his common sense. I mean, did he really think that his plan was going to work? In the first season when they pulled the 'quick, disguises!' thing, it was a pretty simple ploy- -this had a whole dialogue and blah blah blah, I think you were supposed to think that Hiro's plan was to annoy the Haitian until Ando, as an Usher, told the Haitian to give Hiro the briefcase- -and then he would? That makes no sense. Ando's plan- -distract 'em and hit 'em with something heavy- -WAS a plan. In fact, everything that's gone wrong in Hiro's storyline this season has been entirely his fault. I'll forgive it all, though, just for the "What are you doing?!" "I'm being awesome!" exchange- -I laughed way too much at that.
Also, Peter, though he has the IQ of a toilet brush, finally got another 'badass' moment in the bank there. He's one of our two alliteration characters, so even though the writers seem to hand him the idiot ball all of the time, he's gotta get some props.
Next week looks great. Was Sylar canoodling with Mister Muggles? Looks like FuturePete goes onto a trip to the destroyed future. How, how, how I hope not only is everything changed now- -but the Sylar we see in the preview is FutureSylar. Yes, that's what happens to Sylar in four years. He turns into...that.
Actually, considering the Haitian, that probably wouldn't be that odd, would it?
