Help Me Find A Book!

There was a children's book I have this faint memory of. years before the movie Radio flyer, there was a book about a kid with a red wagon who imagined (what would today be called steampunk) flying machines...

When you are six or less, you don't know an ISBN from adam.

Early 1970s

There was also a book that depicted a winged airship that dwarfed a 747

That sounds like "Ship of Dreams" by Dean Morrissey except that book was released after the Radio Flyer movie.

Thanks for trying--but I'm sure this was the 1970's. I seem to remember being in a doctor or dentists office, and there was this section with kids books on the table.

My copy just arrived. I knew it was an ex-library book, but not the true condition. To my happy surprise it's a large hardcover in very good condition with just one annotation. The library? Lakenheath High School, which serves an American Army base. The annotation's in pencil, but I'm keeping it for posterity.

Looks like I was dancing all around it, then.
Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale-- oh hell, I'm sure you have.

Who do you think taught the devil his groovy moves?

I taught him the Robot.

It's always the simple things we cherish.

My copy of Virus came today. I plan on taking a break from the Birthmarked series and read it. :)

Well, this isn't fair. I ordered mine before the rest of you, and it's still not here yet.

I haven't received mine yet but it has to make it from the USA to Tasmania. I am hoping to get it late this week or early next week.

If it gets lost, it will take a major military operation just to see if it MIGHT be able to be located.

Forgot to post that I finished the book two days ago, and I loved it. My husband is reading it now.
