^ Dag, missed the start of the episode. And I'll miss the start of the replay picking up my son from work. I'm done here for now, don't want any more spoilers. There's always tomorrow.
Now I'm wondering if Durant didn't want to sell the land to Psalms not because of racism / fear of dropping land values, but because he knew it would be a bad purchase for Psalms.
ETA: Just watched the scene in the rebroadcast...it definitely plays differently with hindsight...Durant was trying to talk Psalms out of buying the land for his own good.

That look of horror on Bohannen's face when he found out the truth about Fong was priceless. It almost looked like he thought for a split second "Chinese boys have those?"
It could fit right in with the strange things people over the years imagined about a race of people they were not familiar with.
Only one episode left this year...!

Also, they're definitely building up something between Cullen and Mei. Not sure where they'll go with it, since we still don't know the fate of Naomi and William, and neither does Cullen. (When he told her that he'd lost his wife and boy, I wasn't sure which wife and boy he was talking about in that context. Hey, Mei--if you do go there with Bohannon, try not to have a boy...!)

No kidding. It's just getting all the pieces in place and then it goes away again.
Yeah, that cable season number crap gets on my nerves. Why don't they just stop trying to be funny and call next year's episodes what they really are -- "Season SIX".
Well, that was pretty good. I knew they'd leave us hanging about the fate of Naomi and William, and that we'd be seeing them before I saw her name in the credits. A couple of other developments I foresaw thanks to the commercials. I do have to wonder about Bohannon breaking his word to Brigham Young, though. And history tells us that as far as Ogden is concerned, Durant will win that race.
I was surprised that no treachery was revealed on Huntington's part regarding Bohannon's family. And that Bohannon finally got around to telling somebody who really killed Johnson!
I have to say that developments with Eva could be foreshadowing what I predicted upthread....
You gotta love a show that gives us lines like "I found you in a pile of pig slop gnawing on a chicken bone."
I am curious as to exactly when the show is supposed to be right now. If Grant is actually President, and not President Elect, then it's after the inauguration in March 1869. But the Golden Spike was struck at Promontory in May 1869, and that seems a bit further away for the railroads than inside of two months.

Anyone else notice the weird sound edit in the campfire scene between Grant and Cullen?

It sounded like the line got clipped short. I even watched it a second time to be sure I didn't just hear it wrong. You can make out the beginning of a word after "and", but it's like it got censored.

Hey Eva, you go girl! That was quite a way to take care of a problem. If they ever revisit this in the episodes left, I wonder what the consequences will be for her.
I know. I wish they hadn't shown us the preview because it left me thinking, "Damn it! Show that NOW!!"
