They can pick up right where they ended, they can jump to whatever mid-date that was when the infertility epidemic was in full swing or they can go the full 30 years into the future to the plague that's wiping out immortals.

Oh well... it's not like it was actually a good show.
That's funny, "oh well" is literally the reaction I had as well. I enjoyed the show, and would have liked a 3rd season, but it's not in my top anything and I certainly won't lose any sleep over the cancellation.
I have higher hopes for the 2-3 new space based shows SyFy has coming out.
I like to think it was cancelled in a really convoluted manner that involved lots of deaths and double-crosses.
Just when it got interesting.
Any chance they could do a syfy Saturday night movie?? (with a marathon that week)?
That doesn't seem likely.
