Helix - Ron Moore

I mentioned this to my wife, and she said "Yeah - the only character I liked. No reason to watch now."

I've continued to watch this and you guys were right it's horrible but I can't stop. It's taken on a camp quality as they keep adding on more and more ludicrous plot twists that it's fun just to see how many stupid twists they can introduce without resolving anything. It's like a parody of scientific thriller shows, it might become a cult classic someday.

Yeah I feel asleep during last episode and haven't been motivated to watch it and it's almost Sunday night for me.

So what exactly was Ron Moore's involvement in this? I guess he hasn't written any of the scripts and is just one of three executive producers?

Wow, you guys hate it too?

So it doesn't get any better after the pilot after all? Because the pilot was laughably bad.

I've seen all of it.

There is a new species running a corporation that wants to thin the human herd with a virus.

Asian Boss guy is the new species, so is Jeri Ryan.

One of the CDC workers infected with the Virus has turned into the new species.

There's a graveyard of half buried monkeys in the tundra.

Other than that it's a zombie movie.

In another words, nothing to see here, move along...

Craggy faced boring CDC guy was both the Rocketeer and the Antivillain (If antihero is a thing, then so is antiviillain.) from the 4400... And he was pretty good as the prime suspect in the The killing as well.

It's really a question of if they are going to ever get off that base.

I IMDBed Jennifer because it seems like she's really not been trying to stay famous.

Found something called The $treet.

Ultradrama about Stockbrokers circa 2001.

Watching the pilot now.

Actor kissing is not real kissing, mechanically it might as well be real kissing, but you can't be invested or treat it as important or the other actor starts thinking that you are a skeevy rapist.

I should have only meant it as a status thing.

(Google says that Billy was Gay for pay on Dynasty for a couple years, but if he is gay in real life, that that hasn't been confirmed yet, although he has been romantically linked to Jennifer Connelly and Virginia Madsen for about 15 years.)

Wow -- people are sooo not into this show that No one has commented yet about the 2/21 episode?

I saw a bit of the pilot, but didn't check in again until last week. This week's was really good.

Jeri Ryan has done a great job in her role.

And i really like Hatake...i thought he was going to be like Robert Carlysle in Stargate Universe. He's showing a lot more sympathy, and a lot of layers i am interested in. Hiroyuki Sanada does a great job in giving this introverted character depth.

However, I am disappointed,...
That Constance dead. I think she could've done some more to create tension, and of course figure out what is up between her and Hatake.

Also disappointed that...
her security guard killed himself (unless he was shot just before he succeeded). He seemed like a good guy who was unnecessarily abused by Constance. It would have been interesting if he turned to the "good" side. He certainly had good reason to switch..

What do the rest of you think?
