Heathers

I was bored today, so I looked through my DVD collection and came upon the 1989 film Heathers. I hadn't seen it in a long long long time, so I decided to watch it again. So glad I did! I forgot how funny and cynnical this movie is. It's an incredible dark comedy with no holds barred. Best line from the movie has got to be "Fuck me gentle with a chainsaw". I cracked up so hard when Heather said that line.

If you haven't seen it and you want to relive some late 80's/early 90's notalagia then watch this movie. If you've seen it, what do you think about it?

I love, love, love this movie!!! So many great lines from it!

It was on one of the movie channels recently and although I have it on DVD, I sat right there and watched the entire thing. :bolian:

Plus it's full of Replacements references, how could it not be good?

I picked up this film blind from the library a few years ago. I wasn't disappointed. I couldn't believe something so cynical and so funny could have ever been made in the Hollywood system that existed in the 1980s. Great film.

I love my dead gay son!
Yep, great scene. I laugh my ass off every time. Something about dark humor always gets me giggling.

Case in point, one of my favorite scenes in a movie ever is the scene in Reservoir Dogs when Michael Madsen starts dancing and singing to Stuck in the Middle just before he starts torturing the guy. I fear that probably says a lot about me.:lol:

Oh, and I agree Angel, Pump Up the Volume was a great movie! :bolian:

I still occasionally break into Slater's "seven schools in seven states" speech. I love that movie!

Does anyone have the recent anniversary edition of the movie? Any good extras on that worthy of a double-dip?

Great fucking movie. Love all Christian Slater movies. Can't go wrong with Heathers, Pump Up the Volume or Gleaming The Cube. Hell, I like Kuffs too.
