Spoilers Hawkeye -Discussion Thread

Judi Dench's M in the Daniel Craig era isn't the same person as her M from the Brosnan era so it's entirely feasible that D'Onofrio could just play a different version of Kingpin. There is a multiverse after all!

Do we know for definite whether this series is Renner's swansong as Hawkeye? It certainly seems to be being played that way.

I can see them alluding to having a history, though I'll be curious to see how they handle it since, in the Netflix show (hiding it just in case)

Kingpin figured out that Matt Murdock is Daredevil.
The answer to that is...
... near the end of this clip and the beginning of the second.

Matt has proof Vanessa is a murderer. Sort of complicated to allude to, but it's not contradicting anything if they simply don't bring it up. Fisk just has to keep his mouth shut about it.

Watched Black Widow for the first time because of a supposedly connection to Hawkeye that may or may not appear and I didn't want to be unfamiliar with it. And I have to say I was extremely disappointed by the movie, which was average in every way. Scarlett Johansson deserved better. Other than introducing Florence Pugh to the MCU, I don't think this movie accomplished anything else.

It made me even more sad about her death now that she reconnected with her "family". It wasn't the best entry in the MCU but it had some moments, the introduction of Yelena being the best of them.

Just did a quick scan through the new episode released today and Yelena appears at the end!! Can't wait to watch the episode when i'm done with work today.

Why was Yelena dressed like Sam Fisher?
Looks like Kate isn’t dum and knows he was the Ronin. I thought that would freak her out a bit more.
The watch stuff was interesting. It’s someone who’s been out of the game a long time and sounds like is hiding. I wonder if it’s connected to Clint’s wife?

Yeah, clearly they're hinting at Laura being more than just "the wife". Up until now I've been running under the assumption that she was a SHIELD analyst or some such (because it's not like Clint was ever likely to meet people outside of the life when not undercover) and her inside knowledge seems to bear that out.
Though the thing with the watch makes me think she might have been a bit more than that. Maybe a field agent, or even an established character from the comics? Mockingbird perhaps? (Yes, yes, I know, Bobby from AoS! But still.)

Well, our girl finally showed up to the party. And she did not disappoint, even without saying a word. :techman: And Clint'll be home by Christmas for sure, 'cuz Echo's going for the wife and kids now

And I definitely called it on the LARPers. We are getting that classic purple outfit by episode 6 for sure.

Well we know it’s coming. It’s in all of the pictures advertising the show

I don’t think AoS is canon

I keep hearing people say that, but I've seen no actual evidence of it, especially with the establishment of the Multiverse. In fact, Captain Marvel was very consistent with Agents of SHIELD by establishing that it was Kree blood that revived Carol from being near death. The Rejuvenation properties of Kree blood on humans was established on Agents of SHIELD, not the comics.

Then there is the Power Broker's Chief scientist. In the comics, that was Dr Karl Malus. But instead of using Malus in Falcon and Winter Soldier, they picked up some obscure character that only appeared in one story that wasn't even related to Power Broker. Why would they do this? Because Malus was already used in Jessica Jones season 2.

I don't consider the different appearance of the Darkhold to be a contradiction because the book is, you know, Magic.
