I think they’ll use S2 as a way of addressing current day immigration and BLM crisis. Storyline’s about giving rights to Synths, discrimination against Synths. Now one of the most respected Humans of the time is a synthetic life form, It will challenge people’s thinking when it comes to Synths and allowing them equality as sentient beings. Picard is a modern day Rosa Parks/Martin Luther King.

I hope not, that seems very boring for a whole season, maybe a few episodes.. Maybe if they put it in a more wider net of the Romulan refugees trying to reform in to a society, maybe a trip to the new romulan homeworld, seeing where vulcan reunification is at ( I would think Picard would have ran with that instead of moping in a vineyard)

Honestly, I really want them to explore the Romulans far more than was done in Season 1. I think that you could have Picard successfully reverse the synth ban by his advocacy and new body and being able to advocate for Romulans by demonstrating similar benefits. Basically calling on the Federation to embrace the Romulans and synths as equals.

Yes, with Picard being a Immigrant/refugee/other now he has a voice that can change opinions. And I as well would Love more romulan world building, and seeing how there society is now.

However..
It all depends on Discovery S3.. As it will show what the galaxy has been up to, and will give us a what happened to the federation, klingons, romulans in the far future. so we'll see!

As for "more political or ship based action" LOL to much "ship based action" can get boring too.
Plenty of "politics" and of course character drama too. A mix is always best, which is what I hope to see.

I want to see more of the Romulans too. I like what they did with them in season one. Oh is a troublemaker and I wouldn't be suprised if she comes back to cause trouble because she's angry she didn't get to destroy Capelious and the androids.

I wanna know how the federation will change now that they know romulans attacked utopia planitia. A lot didnt want to help the romulans anyway, and then to learn that ones responsible for the attack were romulan, the backlash on romulans would be huge. And would they ever even attempt to help an enemy like that again?

I read Patrick mentioned the Federation would be explored more in season 2 somewhere on Trekmovie in an Picard article recently.I'm curious about the second season how Starfleet will deal with the Romulans were responsible for the attack on Mars.
