DISCO S4 is arguably the most true to the ideals of the franchise that it's been in a long time. It's by no means a perfect season, but it's probably the most thoughtful and perhaps overall best executed of the five.

Yeah, I’m up and down with DSC, but Season 4 is really good.

DISCO season 4 had the best idea overall for a season, and it started and ended pretty good. (It's the only season finale where they actually stuck the landing.) But the season as a whole was poorly done because they stretched out an arc that's really only 5 or 6 episodes into 13. It was a slog to get through with all the meandering in the middle.
