I can't say I've ever cheated on a girlfriend... I literally can't, since the longest "relationships" I've ever had with women have only lasted a few hours.
If I was in a serious relationship with a woman, I'd like to think I'd never cheat... that I'd have more integrity than that. But you never know... I can be amazingly weak-willed when it comes to the temptations of the flesh.
To be honest, I'm somewhat of the opinion that, on a biological level, human beings were not meant to be monogamous. In fact, I might go so far as to say that monogamy is downright unnatural... but I'm sure I'll get a lot of passionate opposition to that statement.
Unsurprisingly, I'd be okay with the idea of an open relationship. Don't get me wrong, if I fell head over heels for a girl that definitely was looking for monogamy, I'd comply -- hell, if she was the most incredible woman I've ever met, she might even convince me to change my views
-- and as I said, I'd like to think I wouldn't seek gratification elsewhere. But sometimes, stuff happens -- and as someone who can keep love and sex separate, I think an open relationship might be the best way to avoid potentially painful complications.
