Have You Ever Cheated?

No, I have never cheated on any of my past girlfriends.

J.

You've had girlfriends?

Yeah. Why wouldn't I?

J.

Isn't it obvious? Because you're a Star Trek fan. ;)

I can't say I've ever cheated on a girlfriend... I literally can't, since the longest "relationships" I've ever had with women have only lasted a few hours.

If I was in a serious relationship with a woman, I'd like to think I'd never cheat... that I'd have more integrity than that. But you never know... I can be amazingly weak-willed when it comes to the temptations of the flesh.

To be honest, I'm somewhat of the opinion that, on a biological level, human beings were not meant to be monogamous. In fact, I might go so far as to say that monogamy is downright unnatural... but I'm sure I'll get a lot of passionate opposition to that statement.

Unsurprisingly, I'd be okay with the idea of an open relationship. Don't get me wrong, if I fell head over heels for a girl that definitely was looking for monogamy, I'd comply -- hell, if she was the most incredible woman I've ever met, she might even convince me to change my views ;)-- and as I said, I'd like to think I wouldn't seek gratification elsewhere. But sometimes, stuff happens -- and as someone who can keep love and sex separate, I think an open relationship might be the best way to avoid potentially painful complications.

:D

Actually, one of my girlfriends was a serious hardcore Star Wars fan. I got her into Star Trek, and the movie Spaceballs. She was studying to become an Egyptologist, and to top it off she was so very beautiful, I mean the whole package; intelligence, sense of humor, sci-fi fan, & gorgeous. Things between us fell apart after a while, because she wanted to focus on her education and career. It happens, and I have never begrudged her for it.

Excellent work, Minister J.! Keep on preachin' and converting people to the true faith!

She still liked Star Wars, but I got her to look at Star Trek in a new light. In return, she deepened my appreciation of Star Wars.

You know, I may just look her up. It's been 10 years...

^^ She must be happy now that Star Trek and Star Wars are the same thing. :rommie:

No. I've never cheated.
I had the chance to do so on a couple of occasions but I don't think it's really worth the trouble.

If your partner doesn't cover your needs, just end it and go have your fun... care and guilt free.

I've been married for 5 and a half years, and we lived together for about 8 months before that. No, I have never cheated, and have never been tempted to cheat.

And my hubby would never cheat on me. I come from a family of lawyers and I have a really vengeful side. He wouldn't dare.

WifeOfBrian and I are in what some would consider an "open" marriage... Its more like we're both bisexual and into group-sex/sexual activity than a blank check to fool around. Everything we do is planned in advance "hey want to ___ this weekend" or "May I arrange time with ___".

Works for us, doesn't/can't/won't work for everyone. :)

So, DarkJourney...did you cheat on her/will you cheat on her, or did we scare you into submission?

Nah, like I said I am a remarkably faithful man. Right now I am basking too much in how much I love being with her after being apart for so long. I do worry though. I mean what if I am walking down the street and turn the corner and wham I run right into Jennifer Love Hewitt? Our eyes meet, their is chemistry, and the inevitable happens?:guffaw:

*sigh*

I, personally, have never cheated on any of my girlfriends. I am, however, guilty of being "The other guy". I was young, stupid, and wanted to get laid. So I sold out my morals.

The one good thing is, I no longer speak to the woman or the man, so I don't have to worry about consequences. Means the only one punishing me is myself, and me punishing myself usually involves watching "Alone in the Dark."
