I really like how the chest plate looks like actual metal, I wouldn't be surprised if they used real thin metal plates.

Is it me, or do the boots seem higher than the original design, this set of boots looks like it's as high as your knee.

Rumors about the 46th sentai are surfacing. This year the trademark is surprisingly late to show up.

We have one more week of October. The entire month of November is left for speculation. The first weeks of December are when Bandai holds their meeting/presentation of the next sentai 1st quarter toy catalog


RUMORS. Grains of salt and all

-The new Red Ranger from Sentai 46 will first appear in Zenkaiger as a regular character. He will show up around January, and is Momotaro/Samurai themed. (Visor is a peach leaf, with a top knot on his helmet.) He has a Geartlinger-like gun weapon that seems to be his henshin device, with his own gear. (The Sentai Gears will be upgraded and be next year's collectibles.) The gun transforms into a bike he can ride, and the bike will also combine with Juran to make a new W-Combo robot.

-ZenKaizer and Juran will likewise move over into Sentai 46 as regulars, and the Juran/Bike combo is the 1st robot of that season.

So Sentai 46 and Zenkaiger would form a small shared universe similar to what Ultraman and others media are doing.

It's kinda of also like how MMPR started with MMPR and In space being tied together

Or like the first five Kamen Rider series being a continuous universe, with Riders 1 & 2 creating V3, and with Tobei Tachibana being a regular in all five series, whether as a mentor in the earlier ones or a comic-relief tagalong in the latter two.

In Sentai, Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan was a loose sequel to Denshi Sentai Denziman, bringing back Machiko Soga's Queen Bandora as a main villain and continuing some of the worldbuilding elements with the Denzi-Seijin and the Vader Clan.

On reflection, I wouldn't want a continuation of Zenkaiger's universe anyway. It's a fun show, but it's utterly silly and fluffy and ridiculous. It's too insubstantial and cartoony to be worth building into a larger shared universe. I'd like next year's show to be at least somewhat more dramatic as a contrast.
