Can you see it? It's Kamen Rider Revice! Revealed in a summer movie poster

Rumored theme is supposed to be dinosaurs.

I've read some rumors that Revice actually has some sort of "partner", separate from the secondary Rider, and that the guy in front is the partner, not Revice, while the blue/purple Rider is the actual secondary Rider. That is just a rumor, though, so obviously take it with a grain of salt.

From what I can see those are decent designs regardless of who/what they are, but I have to see more before having a firm opinion.

Here's the bridge. I remembered Boukenger episode 6 started with the bridge so I looked up Boukenger episode 6 locations

A nice coincidence -- just a week after I asked about that familiar bridge, I saw it in episode 12 of Return of Ultraman, from 1971. So it wasn't just used in Toei shows -- Tsuburaya beat them to it. They also replicated it in miniature so the kaiju Shugaron could tear it apart.

Another coincidence -- there was a guest actress in the episode who bore a strong resemblance to Arisa Komiya of Go-Busters, which is one of the shows I've seen the bridge in. But I couldn't find any cast information about who she was and whether there's any relation.

Funny -- I think of the bridge as green in color, but it looked blue in Ultraman, and it looks more blue in the above photos. I guess maybe it's a blue-green shade and how it looks depends on the lighting. Or maybe it's just been repainted various times over the past 50 years.

speculation is that the teen is playing Shotaro Ishinomori the creator of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider

I wonder what Ishinomori would think of what his creations have become. All the shows I've seen that he created started out pretty dark and grim -- Kamen Rider was originally a horror series whose protagonist lamented that his freakish strength made him incapable of ever again knowing human affection, and Gorenger and JAKQ were respectively spy- and crime-focused series with tons of death and gunplay in the early episodes -- but over time they all got lightened up and made more goofy and kid-friendly, no doubt from network interference. I daresay modern KR has managed to retain more of the darker aspects, but alongside a lot of flashy kid-friendly stuff (like the endlessly annoying henshin announcements and music), whereas SS has leaned more toward the light and silly stuff, especially in Zenkaiger.

Stickers have popped up revealing more of Revice. He also has a companion friend

Series logo is also revealed. They’ve cleverly sneaked in the “50” for the anniversary

I noticed with Saber and now Revice that there’s no longer a center jewel designed into the forehead of the helmet for the primary rider

Variety did an article on Kamen Rider and got Shirakura to say a few things

https://variety.com/2021/film/global/toei-kamen-rider-1235009716/

“We are trying to sell ‘Kamen Rider’ to not only the United States but also to the world. And like the Power Rangers shows in the past we are doing it mostly with live-action contents,” Shirakura says

Here's a funny part from Shirakura

“ ‘Kamen Rider Black’ was an extremely popular TV series not only domestically but also internationally. It was remade by Saban as ‘Masked Rider’ and aired in 1995, but unfortunately it got bad reviews and was a flop. Now we’re getting our payback,” he says with a smile."

I'm sure he knows it was "Kamen Rider Black RX" that was remade.

Incidentally, I just started watching Godzilla Singular Point on Netflix, and I recognized the female lead Mei as having the same voice actress as Magine on Zenkaiger, Yume Miyamoto. Another one of the lead characters sounded like Zyuran's voice actor to me, but it was just someone with a similar sound.

There are some annoying subtitles mistakes though

The folks in this thread might be interested in my new audiobook series which has just been announced:

GraphicAudio introduces a spectacular original Super-heroic Action Series available in no other format!

In the year 2046, on the artificial-island arcology of New Avalon, Corazón “Cory” Kagami is a bright but impulsive college student who follows her passions, resisting the will of her mother, Morgan Herrera, head of a tech conglomerate responsible for astonishing breakthroughs. Morgan controls Catchfire Industries, and is effectively the ruler of New Avalon through her near-monopoly of its technology and through the numerous government officials she keeps in her pocket.

In a world where communication with parallel Tangent Earths has brought a disruptive influx of new beliefs and scientific innovation, Morgan promotes a strong defense against threats from within and beyond this world, developing advanced personal armor and weaponry for her cyborg peacekeeping team Fireforce.

When Cory is accidentally empowered with the most advanced armor system yet, Morgan tries to renew her bond with her daughter and train her to be a hero, a decision she may come to regret. Cory Kagami, a fan of Japanese tokusatsu action entertainment, has her own ideas about what it means to be a hero.

Yes, Tangent Knights is my riff on Kamen Rider, Sentai, and Ultraman. In the vein of my hard-SF superhero novel Only Superhuman, it takes the concepts and conventions of tokusatsu and grounds them in (relatively) plausible physics and technological extrapolation. It's been enormous fun to write, and it's loaded with toku in-jokes and homages as well as emulating the story arcs, character types, and recurring tropes and themes of toku shows.

Tangent Knights is an original series exclusive to audiobook format. Book 1 will be released in CD and digital download on August 3, 2021. You can hear an excerpt at the link above.

Naturally, I want to extend sincere thanks to Samurai8472, who's done so much to bring me into the world of tokusatsu. This project wouldn't have been possible without your help. I hope you enjoy the audiobooks as much as I've enjoyed writing them.

Congrats Chris.

I'm surprised you didn't include a bit more of BubbleGum Crisis 2040 in your design motif?

I'm the writer, not the cover artist. I only described the armor in prose, and the artist did their own interpretation.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with Bubblegum Crisis. I was imagining a more functional, less stylized version of Rider/Sentai armor... I guess more Sentai-like in the helmet and Rider-like in the body armor, though the artist gave her less outer armor than I imagined.

Although of course that's not her only armor form. Gotta have the power-ups...

Your artist only gave her "BMX-Rider" level crash gear appearance on the cover, which can be fine if that was your intention.

The reason I reference Bubblegum Crisis 2040 is because the HardSuits that they wear give them super human capabilities and looks good while doing it.

As I said, I was going for something functional and a lot less garish than modern Rider costumes -- not only because I'm going for relative plausibility, but because it's audio, so it's best to keep the visual descriptions fairly simple. But the actual armor is a bit more extensive than shown. If you listen to the book when it comes out, you'll "see."

Oh, believe me, Tangent Knight Caprice has plenty of superhuman capabilities. And the armor is only part of it.

If you ever get the chance, go watch "BubbleGum Crisis 2040" with your wife.

This Anime is a bit older, was originally released in 1998.

I think the both of you will enjoy it since the show stars 4 females as the leads along with amazingly slick designed "Hard Suits"

Here's the opening theme song:
