Hasbro's Power Rangers era and General Tokusatsu discussion

Not in his "evil form" certainly, but I'd argue that Wolzard Fire/Blagel as a much a Red as TimeFire from Timeranger, KabutoRaiger from Hurricaneger and maybe others?

Mmm, Wolzard Fire was technically crimson, according to RangerWiki. Okay, that's a shade of red, but he was an Extra Ranger, not a Red Ranger in the team-leader sense, which is what I was going for (I should've been clearer).

A reliable source claims this is what reds helmet pretty much looks like

Apparently the poster could be at the end of the month, TOEI wants to get the chinese market hyped up earlier than normal this time around as they need to appeal to get bought for the video distribution, China previously only bought KR and ULTRA and passed on Boonboomger

Also the 50th Anniversary logo is apparently a Goranger reference

The suits have apparently been seen
-Helmet is 1:1 what I saw prior in art, but now looking at a real suit, and can see the eyes better. There ARE separate eyes there, just no pupils. And it's red eyes on a red helmet. The visor seems to wrap around the head entirely.

-Suit is mostly black (chainmail looking kind of). There are bits of red pleather/soft armor on the thighs, sides of the chest and arms. (Most noticeable armor on the arms), with the sides of the chest having "ridges." Chest is a black circle with a red outline, and a golden claw sweeping over the circle stemming from the shoulders. This matches the robot.

-Changer (which I will reveal the name of in a bit) is worn on the right hand as pictured in the designs and looks unchanged from that pic I saw. Gloves for the suit are white with gold clothes, and it's the only white I can see on the whole suit. Wolf is wearing his personal ring on the index finger of his left hand.

-Belt buckle is as previously described, two interlocking clawed hands.

Did you guys enjoy the Kakuranger 30th Anniversary Special?

I really found it to be fun, a nice nostalgic trip back to the world of Kakuranger.

Man, the opening is still great, even to this day, seeing all the old clips makes me so nostalgic.

I'm so glad that Toei is visiting older Sentai's.

It's sad we haven't gotten a GoGoV reunion due to one of the primary rangers having a long term illness.

The Kakuranger 30th was fun, I especially liked seeing Junior again. The anniversary movies for Sentai and Kamen Rider have been a mixed bag in my opinion, but Kakuranger was a solid one.

Here they are!

First glance does make me think of a Chinese toku series which kinda makes sense if they’re trying to court the Chinese market for distribution consideration of the series

There were watermarks on the original photo. This one has been AI upscaled to remove the watermarks so it looks a bit weird. It’s all we have till an official image comes out

Not bad, but the blank circles on the chests are odd. Maybe there are different logos that materialize there when they use different powers, or something?

I can't tell which one is female (assuming only one). Best guess is blue.

Rumors were that black and blue were the girls. Black looks it here, blue less so. Might be another one girl team.

Producer and man spearheading the direction of Sentai Shin-ichiro Shirakura talked about the 50th anniversary of Sentai. He would like the anniversaries to be separated. Rider does its own thing. Sentai does it own thing.

Also I think jokingly thanks to Lupinranger VS Patranger the season count is now off. It's no longer Kamen Rider Decades fault it's Lupinranger VS Patranger.

He makes reasonable points. I did wonder why they stressed anniversaries ending in 5 instead of 0, and now I know.

So next season is an anniversary season again. I'm not sure what to make of that, but to date I've felt that Super Sentai has done its gimmicky anniversary season better than Kamen Rider has. Decade and Zi-O were both kind of weak, but Gokaiger was terrific, and Zenkaiger was enormous fun, although its anniversary elements were superficial.

Can somebody explain to me why it's LuPat's fault?

I know the Super Sentai Anniversaries are a bit off & that they want to decouple from Kamen Rider.

The De-Coupling of Super Sentai from Kamen Rider makes sense from a logical, financial, & chronological stand point.

But why is this LuPat's fault again?

Is LupinRanger & PatoRanger considered 2x Sentai Teams, but 1x Series?

So that screws up the numbering of number of Sentai Teams in existence?

I know the 50th Series & 50th Year is coming up, so that's definitely worth celebrating.
