Has US 'Life on Mars' been cancelled?

Mr. Laser Beam

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
What happened to it? It hasn't been on the air in awhile, and it's not mentioned in USA Today's article on upcoming TV shows.

Damn thing even ended on a cliffhanger. :(

According to wikipedia, there are at least three more episodes coming. Don't know besides that.

SHIT!!!!!!!   :scream: :scream: :scream:

Why the FUCK do my favorite shows always get fucking CANCELLED? Wish we could find out what the hell happened to Sam, or what that weird-ass final scene in the last episode (about Sam going to the cabin and getting that phone call) was all about. FUCK FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK.

I just wish ABC would say something about this, especially since they still have the show on their website (says it's coming back in January. So who's right?).

Does anyone know anything definitive? For some reason this show grabbed me good-I looked forward to Thurs. while it was running....

If they do cancel it and you want to know what happens to sam just watch the UK version which has an ending :D

From what I recall of the last episode that was aired, it was changing time slots and the stories would get more in-depth.

They're pairing it with Lost next year... which probably means it will be cancelled. :p
Doesn't that usually mean it will get a lot of early or late viewers that stay over and bump up the ratings? I would think that would elongate it's stay.

If that were true, The Nine would still be on the air... and Invasion... and whatever it was paired with last year.

One of the things the networks look at in determining whether to cancel or renew a show is the percentage retention of the lead-in audience. So Life on Mars could see its ratings go up in its new time slot but still be canceled if it doesn't retain enough of Lost's audience for ABC's satisfaction.

Life on Mars has not been cancelled and is just on a break like every other show. The last episode ended on that mini cliffhanger so I guess the producers thought it would be a good time to havr the break. Life of Mars has 10 episodes to air when it returns unless ABC orders more and apart from the last episode was on a good run of the ratings going up.

AFAIK, the US producers have said that they won't necessarily be following the UK version in that regard.

And is the UK version for sale in the US?

No. The UK version is not for sale yet in the US. It needs to be imported via someone in GB who will sell to the US. And, you need an R2 player.

Life on Mars is taking over the 10pm slot on Wednesday nights formerly held by Dirty Sexy Money due to DSM's cancellation. Private Practice is replacing LOM as Grey's Anatomy's after show. New episodes resume in January.
