Has the Temporal age become Trek's best mystery time period?

Thought: Temporal agent series could be almost like an anthology! Different Trek eras.
If they ever did the temporal war, this is how I would want it to be done. The nature of the Temporal War would make it difficult to follow on a macro level, but by focusing for a time (heh) on the different powers in their native time periods, we can establish what their reason for contributing is, and slowly build up a sense of the conflict that way.

I still think it's a shame they scrapped the idea for a Star Trek anthology series...

We got a lot of variety and different eras in Discovery in 4 seasons so I don't feel gipped.

My serious side: I never need to see time travel in Trek ever again.

My mischievous side: Trek's temporal wars reimagined as the old 80's TV show Voyagers.

I' was hoping for an explanation as to when that time pod from ENT's "Future Tense" came from and who the pilot was.
For what it's worth, Star Trek Online answered that question.
The timepod is Daniels'. He gave it to Kal Dano, inventor of the Tox Uthat, when the Vorgons attacked the Daystrom Annex on Lirss Prime in the 27th century. Dano travelled to Risa in the 22nd century to hide the Tox Uthat (where it would later be found by Picard). Sadly, Dano dies during his mission. He and his pod are then found by NX-01 in 2152.

Very self-referential

It’s very…chicken and egg.
I imagine it must be strange for a person to come across the equivalent of a Wikipedia article from centuries ago that includes details on their demise in the past.

That's one of my favorite stories from STO. The stories tend to be reference heavy and linked to something from the shows... which I prefer honestly... and tend to do so in a way that ties two seemingly unrelated things together, usually combining elements from different shows. For example, there is a big story about the Vaadwuar from Voyager mixed with the TNG "Conspiracy" parasites, and a story (kind of moved to the back burner but available if you look for it) story that combines the TNG Precursor race and TOS Preservers. There's even a quick story combining the Sphere Builders and the Kelvin Timeline.

Sec31 news reminded the "Lost Era" would be a close second for me, though they may be more limited by Canon. Don't you just hate that?

Lost Era would be fairly limited, but there are still quite a few stories you could tell there. Focusing on the Cardassian War could be interesting, although that's like extreme end of Lost Era essentially into TNG.

To me personally, the biggest "mystery time period" is early Federation. That's what I really want to see. I want to see what's going on in like, 2180. The Federation is still trying to find its footing, it's not necessarily one big happy family yet, mixed crews are still somewhat rare and can something of an awkward experience.

Season 5 continues to use Trek history including the Temporal war.

Krenim Cronophage! Literally time-eater. Adding another piece to the puzzle, the Krenim are revealed to still be interested in time-changing technology. Time bugs are a thing.

L'ak and Moll break time travel laws. They're really racking up the charges...If they survive.

The only era I'm interested is TOS era.

In fact, it's pretty easy to argue there's really no excuse to not build the entre brand around it, at this point.
