It bugged me that Bane was so clueless about Italian, given that the comics character is a native Spanish speaker and they're very similar languages. But then, this version of Bane is a parody of Tom Hardy's movie version, so I guess he's not Hispanic. (Come to think of it, has it ever been established what Bane's name is in Spanish? Google Translate suggests "Perdición" or "Plaga," though maybe it would have be "Plago." Interestingly, the list of synonyms it gives me includes venena, "venom," which is the name of the drug that gives him his power.)
The bigger thing that bugs me about Bane's arc this season is that it ignores the romance he had with the dominatrix in the Valentine's Day special. I know that was nominally just a one-night stand, but it kind of felt like they were planting the seed for something more. But then she just disappeared and they gave Bane this pitiful unrequited crush on Nora, which is a step backward for the character and isn't as interesting.
