Harley Quinn webseries (2019)

Once again, I'm luke warm on Harley but they're killing it with the supporting characters. Poison Ivy is the best but I'm really liking JB Smoove's Frank the Plant. But really, Kite Man, Bane, they're all pretty great.

I think Harley's nasty assault on the guards is actually probably pretty realistic if you think about it.

I liked how Harley talked her way out of getting shot and then made all the other villains turn against Joker.

The interactions between Ivy and Kite Man were great too!

DC itself uploaded the premiere episode to YouTube (with only the F-bombs "bleeped"), probably as an enticement to purchase the streaming service. Thus I finally saw the debut episode last night.

I probably should have said something, the first episode has also been available via TBS and its website for a while now but I'm usually the last in the loop on these things.

Another funny episode, I wasn't quite sure (perhaps just shellshocked) after the first episode but I'm really liking this show. And on a technical side I like how it's animated or at least storyboarded.

The little touches are great, it was above my paygrade but at our HQ we had one of those guys with the little pony tail selling himself to the execs lol and then Maxie Zeus and his "seminar". "What do they have that you don't have" "A penis?" "Yes, the juggalo in the third row?" The little way Kiteman had to adjust himself to get in the door and Ivy's "non-interest" in what he was thinking. Luthor condeming Dr. Psycho using the C-word. Clayface's bartender persona. Lots of funny stuff.

I need to find somewhere that shows the full episodes as I've only been able to view the odd short clip on youtube but what I have seen it looks like it could be a laugh and an entertaining watch.

The only way to watch more than the first episode is by subscribing to the DC Universe streaming/comic service. Technically, I guess there are probably other ways, but I don't do that or encourage others to.

I spit my drink with the shark repellant, lol

I think I like the fight scenes better on this show than many of the actual action ones.

And they're back.... I don't think this season so far has clicked for me as the previous but I'm surprised with the liberties being taken. When Harley
kills Penguin
I was waiting for the reset. The New Gotham setup is interesting because shows like this usually don't follow up on storylines like that and go back to the staus quo especially since the series is nominally a comedy.

I really do like Kaley Cuoco as Harley and Lake Bell's sardonic take on Poison Ivy but with Bane, Clayface, King Shark, Kite Man and more so many funny performances.

There is a DC streaming service? Is it going to be merged into HBO Max or does Warner Media going to support multiple streaming services?

Yeah, it's been around for a year or two so far. Along with Harley Quinn it's also has a live action Titans series, which has gotten two seasons, a live Doom Patrol , which has done one season and has a second on the way, a new live action Swamp Thing series, which was canceled after one season, and they did a third season of Young Justice. It's also got a ton of old live action and animated series, including the '80s live action Superboy series, the first live action Flash series, and all of the '90-'00s DCAU series. A bunch of movies, including the two Tim Burton Batman movies, the first Christopher Reeve Superman, the Lynda Lee Crosby Wonder Woman movie/TV pilot and a ton of the animated movies. It also has a library of comics, which just reached around 23,000 individual issues.

ouch, neckbeards

This show continues to be a lot of fun and lives and dies off its character work but luckily the writing and the performances come through time and time again. This last episode was a HQ-less episode featuring Batman and Bane and both are great, I think Diedrich Bader is becoming Batman to me as much as Conroy. We get Briana Cuoco as Batgirl and I swear if you didn't know better you'd think it was Kaley, I know they're related but the resemblance is uncanny. Fun stuff.

Season 1 starts showing on Syfy tonight starting at 11PM EST!

Looks like all 13 episodes are already available on Syfy thru OnDemand.

Yeah, I saw a commercial for that yesterday. Any idea how edited their going to be?
They do show The Magicians without bleeps, so there's pretty a good chance the language won't be censored, is there anything else that could be?

I recorded it last night and sure sounds uncensored to me. It's listed as TV-MA. I don't think there's much else that would get cut, it gets violent sometimes but being a cartoon and not really worse than the horror stuff they run I doubt it's cut for anything but maybe time (just for commercials possibly?).
