Halloween Costume Thread (3rd Edition)

Hmm...last night it was decided that my costume is not going to be what I thought it was going to be. I was planning to be a dinosaur, but now it looks like I will be Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, and my roommate is going to be Al Borland.

Finally got my 12-year-old son's costume done! He's a Civil Protection officer from Half Life.

He did a great job of assembling it from thrift shop and surplus store purchases!

I don't usually put together a costume, but I'm thinking.....tan blazer, white shirt, black bow-tie.....?

No matter what I do, I can't seem to shrink my photos to sizes that are "within limits" in this forum. They end up still too big or too small and blurry. So I'm just going to share the links to my Halloween pics. We had an office party on Thursday, 10/28, and it was so much fun!

If you're using photobucket, you should just be able to go in and edit the size of the photo. They even give you a list of pre-set sizes.

Coolest Ever
he could either be a CP or Barney :D

I always have to think of a costume that will allow me to wear my glasses at the same time.
That's really put a damper on Halloweening for me as well. What use is it to dress as a pirate, John Connor or a Starfleet officer if you've got specs? I had a hit one year with an evil nurse, but...

Anyway, I finally got contacts last year, and, with a 1940-style trenchcoat, was a private eye. And met a girl and got laid. Best Halloween yet!

This year, it's Captain Kirk (after taking a McCoy-given beard stimulant) all the way! :bolian:

I'll wear (if it's cool enough) a Renaissance gown that I made, when I hand out candy.

But what I wanted to show you guys is this year's pumpkin that I carved earlier this evening. They brought out a battery-operated carver which really saves strain (and pain!) on my upper shoulders and neck.

<--- The pumpkin is in my avatar.

Happily I found the perfect moustache for my hermaphroditic gay sailor costume!

This week on "Phrases you never thought you'd hear..."

^

And also on Jerry Springer... :P

This photo just makes me think of Team Rocket, for some reason...

As for myself, I have nothing for this year, but if by some miracle I could get my hands on a QUALITY reproduction of a nuBSG duty blue uniform, I'd love to go to a party as Admiral Adama. I have a couple sources for the uniform, but the problem is that quality costs, lol.

This is Jekyll and Hyde. The left side, or Hyde side, was supposed to have a large reptilian skinned latex make-up appliance. But the mold failed and I had to improvise at the last minute. I am also wearing a snake-eye contact lens and a wig.

^I'd hit it from both sides.^

This isn't a great picture - I had to take it in my own bathroom on my cellphone because I don't have a digital camera. But here you go:

Gender-Bending Sailor Yay! Too bad you can't see the anchor patch I have on my shirt! Overall I am so pleased with how it turned out, though I have to say, for practicality's sake, I'm going in flats next year. Walking around New York City in five inch platform stilettos is great fun. Walking around New York City in five inch platform stilettos for 9 hours is not fun.
