Guys I need advice on a female from work!

There's this girl at the place I work at, who I think likes me. I can't tell, but every time I look at her she smiles. I mean that's got to mean something right? She's such a nice female that I think we'd hit it off together, we talk all the time on break, and I even found her on facebook. I haven't sent her a friend request, but I like to look at her page occasionally, I know if she knew I was doing that she'd like it.

So anyways, here's the problem, she's engaged I really like her, and I know if she wasn't engaged she'd be in to me too. I'm not sure what to do.

Really, if this is a genuine appeal for advice, I offer my apologies. But the general string of "girl problems" threads in here just doesn't sit well with me...it's coming across, rightly or not, almost as playing a role, playing to expectations and justifying (or affirming) an established "identity".

I also think a lot of people end up "spoofing themselves" in general. If you become known for a pattern of behaviour, you make it part of your parcel, so to speak.
