I've been watching Gundam AGE. I'm very interested in the gimmick of the story taking place over (I think) three periods of time. I've finished the first arc/time period, and now at episode 15/16 we're 25 years later, wqith Flit (the kid/teen protagonist of the first section) now an adult who has basically passed the Gundam to his son, while he's busy in his crusade to destroy the Vagan in what I'm sure is going to go very "Moby Dick" eventually.
Flit was a solid protagonist, a teen character (I keep wanting to say he was a kid but according to the timeline he was about 14 when he piloted the gundam, although him and everyone his age looked about 10-11) who was actually not annoying and piloted the Gundam without complaining, while also having his own issues to overcome. His son so far is pretty interesting, although its only been one episode with him.
I know the show has mixed reviews, but if nothing else it has a unique story premise and good characters so far.

Finished Gundam AGE. It was a great show, probably my favorite Gundam series of the ones I've watched. The premise of following a story through three generations was great, and the three main protagonists generally avoided most of the annoying bits of other Gundam protagonists. Kio (the third protagonist) and his whole section is easily the weakest, and a lot of the villains and their motivations aren't always well written, but the strength of the first two parts and Flit/Asemu as protagonists really made up for the shows flaws for me.
The show gets a bad reputation, which I really don't think it deserves.

It's going to be some sort of sequel, based on the live stream. Probably not a short video, but not a series. The producer said it would be "long," whatever that means.

I've never watched the Gundam anime. I only know it's something with robots, like Transformers. I'm curious about the quality of the Netflix film, with Sydney Sweeney in the lead role, and what the age rating will be like.
It’s Netflix. I wouldn’t say that means anything to the quality these days.Netflix's Live-Action 'Gundam' Movie Wraps Filming: Everything We Know So Far
