Guilty pleasures, care to share?

No guilt here either, baby. Before the DVDs came out, I taped that episode when it went into syndication, hand-drew a colorful label for it, and watched it like every week. I usually taped multiple VOY episodes on a single tape, but I always kept that one separate. I might actually know it line-for-line.

My favorite part in that ep (next to 42 minutes of Janeway in a sweaty tanktop) was the part when the viruses ran amok in that resort program. Pure gold.

Although - why did the viruses buzz?! What, exactly, was buzzing?! I mean, they didn't have wings or anything. They were floating poopy acorn-shaped lumps. And what allowed them to defy gravity?

Did you ever notice how no-one complained how Janeway "emasculated" that macrovirus with her bowie knife?

LMAO! Surely there was another way, what a heartless B$#%@!

Maybe she could have pulled a Picard and diplomatically suggested an alternative to mass infection. :vulcan:

"The Thaw" is a bit silly, but a very good episode that disturbed me as a early teen.

Oh yes, I forgot "a bit silly" in my list of why I love The Thaw and why it resembled a TOS episode. I loved some of the "silliness" in TOS - brilliant stuff and great theatre eg the battle between Kirk and the giant lizard, Kirk and Spock dancing/acting in Plato's StepChildren - the list goes on and on......

Actually come to think of it, Voyager's The Thaw wasn't all that silly afterall.....LOL

oy - I can't remember the epi name but the one where Voy lands on the mimetic substance planet where Voy is replicated and the replicated Voy doesn't realize it's the copy. it makes me a little teary. also another nod for Threshold. :rommie:

"Demon" is when they land on the planet, "Course: Oblivion" is when they discover they are duplicates. And YES! The latter is one of my favorite eps! Although it makes me cry, too.

Can't resist, the more I thought about it the more I thought of even more ba episodes that I watch and adore.

Endgame for one, now let's not get into an Endgame discussion, but I love it. It's not the best of the "Three Great Finale's" as my husband calls "What You Leave Behind," "All Good Things," and "Endgame," but it was a good finale for Voyager combining elements from two of the most recognizable and best episodes, IMO, Timeless and Dark Frontier and it worked, not the disgusting Chakotay is just a liar for breaking his promise to Janeway and cradle robber for touching Seven(OK, I just watched him cry Janeway's dead body in Coda again so the shipper in me is a little fresh). But the rest of it worked, not the very end though everything else, so I like it.

And Tattoo, no not for Robert Beltran's shirtless scene, I never found him that attractive, Robbie McNeill was much more my type, but anyways, it was a good episode for Chakotay and out of the handful of Chakotay episodes this is one of my favorites.

Persistence of Vision, Janeway's first on-screen kiss that will be the only one, I mean two, until the fifth season. That is all. Oh, and the B'Elanna/Chakotay thing was pretty funny too.

Did I say Twisted last time? Cuz this was Kenneth Biller's, my favorite of the Voyager writers, "Threshold" it was horrendous but kind of cute at the end when everyone was comforting each other and Tuvok shows some of the emotion that we know Vulcan's have but they hide and pretend that they don't.

And I need a Doctor episode soooooooooo Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy, what can I say . . . . . . I think Janeway and the Doctor would have made a better couple than him with Seven, but that's just IMO. This episode was absolutely hilarious and it was really good not to mention the introduction of the ECH, Emergency Command Hologram, which doesn't come back until Workforce I & II.

thanks! they do get jumbled up in my head as a single epi.

That buzzing sound of the virus always makes my skin crawl.:alienblush:
Loved every minute of it!!!

Hey, easy there sister. :p
The viruses were a-sexual.

There will be no more talk of emasculating. :klingon:

Psssttt.

Its a little known fact, but when Janeway was in her "warrior haze", attacking that virus in "hand to... errr... phallic symbol" combat... she was reciting her speech to a certain Maje from season 1.

JANEWAY: You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time. But I don't like bullies, and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh.

:klingon:

I'm not sure if this is a guilty pleasure or not, but I really liked Twisted, from the second season. Just the eerieness of it was great and it had that "Masks" atmosphere that I liked.

I think a better guilty pleasure though might be "The Fight." It's pretty much the same reason I liked Twisted, but moreso than that, it was just plain weird.

Ooh, I forgot The Fight! Oopsie, that's a good guilty pleasure.

Okay, I have to add yet another one, and ask a question all at the same time . . . . . . How have none of the Janeway fans brought Bride of Chaotica! up? Not that it's a bad episode but well . . . .

Need I say more?

^^ Hmmm, its only a "guilty" pleasure if you are hiding it from your husband. ;)

Hmmm.

Maybe a good e-signature is Janeway's comment to Paris in the hallway.

"I beg your pardon!"

I didn't bring up "Bride of Chaotica" because I've never heard anyone say it was a bad ep. I've heard people say they didn't like this or that about it, but folks don't tend to harp on it like they do "Threshold" or "Fair Haven", for example.

And! I just noticed something I never did before. In that third picture, look how the light falls through the webbed whatever that is behind the back collar of her dress. See that shadow? That's so cool.

Bride of Chaotica is #2 on my fav list. Beaten only by Counterpoint.

Shadow is Definitely K O-O-L!

I love the milky white thigh covered by black silk stockings...

Oh I forgot, another guilty pleasure of mine is "Revulsion".

Leland Orser always plays a great psycho or man on the verge, so it was a great thrill to see him play a psycho hologram that saw humans as filthy disgusting creatures. That combined with B'ELanna's subtle scarcasm made this one a real treat for me.

I got to admit, I like "Remember", the ep where B'Elanna is channeling the past. LOVED it when Chak woke her up in her quarters. :rommie:

Loved Janeway's civilian garb when she played that musical instrument. :techman:
