Guillermo del Toro is a busy man, isn't he? Not only is he directing the two Hobbit pictures over the next five years, but now he is contractually signed to direct and develop new adaptations of Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Slaugterhouse-Five.
This would book him through 2017. He is also adapting Dan Simmons' novel Drood along with the three other projects as part of a production deal with Universal Studios. After del Toro finishes The Hobbit, he is projected to make Drood his next directorial attempt.
Where does that leave the Hellboy franchise?
