guest characters would you like to see in Trek Lit

Tryla Scott. She lives.
Quentin Stone (from the PAD novel A Rock and a Hard Place)
T'Rul. Lot of lost potential there.

Regarding what Sran said about my earlier suggestion of Gul Dukat. I wouldn't think that getting a guy out of the Prophets lockup would be an insurmountable problem in a franchise which has brought people back from the dead more than once. Well, not the same person more than once but you know what I mean.

^It's certainly possible that he could be resurrected via time travel, as his imprisonment at Sisko's hands could theoretically be prevented, which would leave him alive and free to wreak havoc on the Bajorans (and Kira by extension) all over again.

Of course, restoring Dukat to life that way also means bringing Winn back (*shudder*).

MU Winn is tolerable so far, but that may change anytime.

And Marc Alaimo did a great job as Dukat. While a Dukat revival is unlikely, there is still Akellen Macet. I´d like to see more of him. He already appeared in several relaunch novels.

Rob Knepper's character from VOY: Dragon's Teeth. I would definitely read a novel based on this episode.

I miss Rom and Leeta. I know they were recurring characters on the show but these days they're just guests popping in briefly once every few years. I get that it's hard to include them in stories but...well, I still miss them.

You´re right. Rom is Grand Nagus, who makes an appearance once in a while in the novels. But Leeta? I know, she is mother. And her daughter Bena. How are they doing?

By the way: I´d like to know what Jake and Rena are up to these days.

Hopefully, they are mentioned in the new DS9 novels.

I´m sure I mentioned it before, but I´d like to see more of Zurin Dakal. Dakal enjoys Sushi like I do ;).

I was thinking of Jake too, we haven't really seen much of him since WoDS9.

Elias Giger from DS9/"In the Cards" or Hagath from "Business as Usual". I think Hagath is mentioned as being deceased in a novel, but no detail was mentioned. Giger's machine to combat "Cellular ennui" was very interesting.

Maybe another encounter with my fellow Vorta Weyon 9.

As it will be awhile before I get around to reading Voyager relaunch books she might already have shown up but what about Kes?

I can't remember Kes being mentioned in the relaunch novels but I'd liked to corrected...

She does show up, yeah. For Disco:
She helped Q Jr. out with the whole resurrection thing.

It's not a relaunch novel, but the third book in the String Theory trilogy, Evolution features Kes in a pretty big role, and gives us a bit of a conclusion to her story arc. It would be interesting still be interesting to see what's become of her since then though.

Maybe Kirsten Beyer has a surprise for us regarding Kes eventually, if not in the next releases.

I was just thinking about this long-dormant thread this morning. And remembering not a canonical guest character who actually got screen time, but one who played a small but important role in Vonda McIntyre's The Entropy Effect.

Anybody remember Jenniver Aristides? A sensitive soul, trapped in a bulky body, genetically engineered for a colony on a planet rich in heavy metals (where one slice of the local bread, as I recall, would be fatal to most carbon-based sentient species)? From before genetic engineering of sentients was established as taboo (except among the Denobulans)? From before "Changeling" became synonymous with "Founder"?
