The only bad thing is the disruption to the MCU schedule. We'll only get two MCU movies next year instead of three, and Guardians 3 will take a slot in another year that would have gone to another movie.
Yeah, I can picture them going repeatedly into showings of Captain Marvel and painstakingly counting visitors as evidence for their theory.

The five post series before that is also worth a read.Too busy working on their theories about how the box-office numbers for Captain Marvel are fake?
Anyway, here's why he gets a second chance and dicks like Tucker Carlson never will.

That’s not really a valid comparison. Franken harassed women, Gunn made some tweets years ago, apologized, got hired by Disney, then some trolls generated fake outrage over those tweets. They're learning that while the internet scream for pounds of flesh their attention spans don't last very long. If you can wait them out like Gov. Northam you'll be all right. I'm pretty sure Al Franken could've waited it out.
I don't even disagree with you yet still think he might have outlasted it. Sorry, in a sour mood, and really not the right thing to bring into this thread, don't want to derail this. That’s not really a valid comparison. Way too early Vol 3 post credits theory: Galactus/Surfer cameo leading to Gunn's next 4 fantastic films.
Me too.Sounds good to me. Make it so!
I want Peyton Reed to do the Fantastic Four films.Way too early Vol 3 post credits theory: Galactus/Surfer cameo leading to Gunn's next 4 fantastic films.
Yup, this is what have been hoping for ever since the first rumors of Disney acquiring the Fox film properties. I think this would be a great and unique way to introduce the characters into the MCU.I’d love to see the Fantastic Four start out in the 60s, then end up in the present. It would be less about their origins and more about them adapting. Ben realizes his appearance isn’t as big a problem in a world of superheroes and probably some mutants. Johnny becomes a sex symbol. Sue is in a time where she’d be given more rights and influence. Reed deals in changes in attitudes about men and the disappointment that his inventions never took off.
Peyton Reed pitched for the Fantastic Four project that eventually went to Tim Story, and his take was a 60s period piece. I'd love to see Marvel hand him the reins to the Fantastic Four after he finishes his Ant Man trilogy.
However, I think in the end, I would rather that the Fantastic Four stay in the 60s rather than move up to the modern day. Mainly because Captain America has already done the "hero out of time" thing, and they will probably be repeating that with Captain Marvel.
However, that said, for some reason I see Kevin Feige setting the story entirely in the modern day, rather than going retro again. I'd love to be wrong.
