The cast mostly look great. Pegg, Urban, Pine, and Cho in particular look the part.

But Yelchin, IMO, doesn't look at all like Koenig.

I like it, but I have to be honest, it does have a Power Rangers vibe with the young cast and the colorful costumes. It's certainly a far cry from today's gritty realism.

More like gritty fantasy. Modern TV and movies exagerate "grittiness" to so great a degree that the world doesn't even hold meaning anymore. It's just a buzz word now. The real world isn't covered in grease and lit by the techs who worked on Alien.

I think the resemblance to the originals is uncanny...

...but seriously, even though I think Urban may do a terrific job as McCoy, when I saw Urban in that photo, I couldn't help but be reminded of "Phase-II" (formerly "New Voyages") and the really bad actor playing McCoy.

I'm sure it's just me, and I'm also sure that I'll get over it.

You know, after seeing this, I really can buy Pine as Kirk. I wasn't sure at first,
but he really looks Kirky in this pic, and in the ice pic too.

Urban looks perfect as Bones. Perfect casting.

Pegg looks good as Scotty.

Chekov, Sulu, & Uhura are all Ok, I'm not really wowed by them, but they fit the parts just fine.

Problems with the bridge set aside, they do look the part. They're a damn fine collection of actors. I have a feeling they're going to be extraordinarily successful at pulling this off.

Yes...i totally agree. This acting group looks very good together. It is a new vision for TOS that, IMO, is needed, and has been needed, for a long time. It may offend many old farts who are so rigid it scares off new fans. TREKDOM needs an enema!!!

I don't feel Chekov at all, I thought he was Riley. Sulu keeps bringing Harry from Voy to mind. McCoy is not as frail looking as I think he should be, he looks buffer than Kirk but this is an earlier time so ok.
