Going to a bar with one of Nico's friends is freakin' hilarious...
Especially trying to get a cab...
Hey Yellow Car!

Yea, I usually just give up on the cabs after a minute or two and drive myself. Its fun, and sometimes the cops see you swerving all over the road and try and pull you over, but I simply floor it and hit everything in sight until I can drop off the friend. Pretty fun, although it give my buddy sea-sickness when he trys to watch it.

I noticed something about the cell phone. The screen is less visible when in the light. Sort of like a real phone, if there's too much ambient light you cannot easily see it.

^ Also regarding cell phones, if you get a call while driving around, you'll hear the usual couple seconds of distortion from the car's speakers before the phone rings.

Getting drunk with Kate was kind of amusing... although, I'm starting to wonder if Euphoria will turn into the next overused thing, ala UE3. Every game will have procedurally generated flopping bodies...

Anyhoo, beat the game with what I suppose is the "good" ending in about 23 hours. Grabbed some of the easier achievements just for kicks, like the two helicopter ones and the vigilante ones and the wanted level ones... I think I may be done with the game for the most part now.

In terms of game play, my main complaint is that I wish they had check points during long missions. I don't know how they'd implement it, but they really should.
Also, for a game that is "open world", you don't really have a lot of choice when it comes to assassinations because you need to follow the script. Most times, when you chase people, you can't shoot them because they're just leading you to the next cutscene. Erg.

Another strange glitch that happened with both me and my wife watching, I saw a taxi, started walking towards it, and it just vanished.

It didnt drive off, it wasnt in the distance, one second it was there, the next gone.

Hehe. I found a car that looks exactly like Bumblebee from the Transformers movie. I wonder if that was intentionally put in the game.

I don't know if anyone posted this/found this out yet but there's actualy several "garages" throughout the city, not just your residence.

Throughout the city in front of apartment buildings there are "Residents Parking Only" spaces, the spots where you park the car to "save" them. No matter if these spots are at your current residence they function like save-spots for cars. I've cars parked at the old safehouse (Roman's), the current one (Mallory's) and a future safehouse in the storyline (provided I do it right) at Playboy's. There's other spots too in the city (do not know if these are future residences or just spots put there "for realism."

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere already, but here are some side by side comparisons, real life New York/In game Liberty City.

So far I've only been able to play the game in dribs and drabs, mainly because I get tired after playing a game for more than a couple of hours.

Last night I did some, apparently, tough missions. I did the Snow Storm on the third attempt. Third because I idiotically blew myself up with a grenade on the first attempt, then the police killed me before I finally just made a run for it on the third attempt and avoided the wanted level.

The one in the strip club for Dwayne was tough. I eventually figured out that I could kill the first guy silently, kill the second guy and then when all hell breaks loose I could go out the back entrance and chase the third guy down on the roads. I managed to shoot his tyre out, causing him to bash up his truck enough to have to abandon it. He started shooting at me so the police opened fire on him and did my job for me. :)

The third difficult one was Hostile Negotiation. I nearly did it the first time but I didn't stock up on weapons before I started so by the third level I was throwing rocks at the enemies. After that I came in stocked up and got through it fairly easily. I heard a police radio message about shots being fired and heard sirens but for some reason I did not get a wanted level.

^ Yeah, I don't find the missions all that difficult either. I think I did Snow Storm in the second try (the first time I tried taking out all the cops which didn't work, so the second time I just sprinted out of the building to my car).

The strip club one took me three tries. The first time I died pretty quickly (I didn't even have full health). The second time I took out the guy in the office with a knife, but then got killed when I tried to take out the third guy. And the third time I actually got through it without a problem.

Hostile Negotiation wasn't hard either. I died once (almost at the end) and then did it without a problem the second time.

The thing that I find difficult is driving motorcycles. There's a mission you gotta do for Gerry McCreary where you gotta dress up as an Albanian on a motorcycle and then chase down another Albanian. For me it's a real bitch trying to keep up with him. I tried that mission like 15 times and I always failed. After that I stopped trying and just played other missions. I do plan to try finishing it again at some point though.

I did the nightclub one first go, didnt bother being stealthy, just shot everyone in sight.

Snow storm was tricky, stupid exploding barrels, but once I knew about the ship, it was fairly easy to get away.

Hostile Negotiation I only had to do twice, I actually killed all the people the first time round, then got blown up when my car hit an explosive barrel, the second time I just got out the car, and the cousin followed me on foot out of the place, where we stole another car outside.

If you want to go faster on the bike, lean forwards for less wind resistance, thats been a feature on all the GTA games with bikes for years.
