Yeah. Me either.

I could listen to Chatterbox non-stop in GTA3 and enjoy the heck out of it, but I'm not feeling 4's "talk radio" stations. If only for Laslow not being a host anymore on any of them. :(

There was also an exclusive soundtrack CD...if you felt the need to get it.

If I ever had a personal definition of "meh"....

Yeah, if there's one complaint I have about the game so far (mind you, as I noted above, my disc is scratched) is that the soundtrack is fairly blah in comparison to past versions. Considering how Wikipedia lists this game as the most expensive to produce to date, you think they would have spent more on the music.

He is, on Integrity 2.0...
But that station will be on air at a later point in the game apparently...
I listen to Liberty Rock Radio mostly, and the ads are still pretty funny...

I wish I just knew what kind of music was on each station. It doesn't even say in the manual.

What should I listen to if I just want some soft rock?

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing that info somewhere, so it must have been in the manual. And they made a point of listing the "sights of Liberty City." But do they talk about actual gameplay, like the "game save" mechanics? Heaven forbid.

I'm sorry folks, I'm just a little grumpy about this game this morning. This game was delayed for months and it STILL doesn't work right. And the manual they give you isn't worth squat.

Got a replacement disc, but it turns out I waste most of my time watching Republican Space Rangers.

I heard bad things being said about GTA IV's soundtrack, saying how relatively bland and somewhat disappointing it is, but considering how groundbreaking and astronomical Vice City's radio stations were it is understandable that GTA IV's selections are going to pale in comparison, though I found San Andreas' soundtrack didn't feel quite as special either (though overall Radio X and K-Dust with some snippets from SF-UF, CSR, K-Rose and Master Sounds were genuinely excellent, making SA's music selection objectively superior to GTA III's charming yet obviously cutprice soundtrack).

The radio stations I would most likely listen to on GTA IV are going to be K190 The Studio, Liberty Rock Radio 97.8, Electro-Choc and The Journey.

I love the "tounge in cheek" take on Conservative Talk Radio on "WKTT" (We Know The Truth.) It sounds like a *lot* of Conservative Talk Radio I've heard.

^Yeah, the right wing parodies are hilarious and some of the best parts of the game.

The whole talk radio station is laugh out loud awesome, and Republican Space Rangers is classic.

I love that talk radio show with the psychic. The other day I was just driving around listening to her :D

I've gotten a little deeper into the story line (I just played the mission where
you Kill Vlad.
) and it really helped "sell" me on why everyone keeps saying Niko is the best PC in the GTA series, I'm really starting to like him. I've also gave Michelle the old kielbasa slider twice now. She's fun, though it took me three tries to find a date she enjoyed. (The bar on the outskirts was no good, the Cabaret club was abysmal, but she liked the diner.)

I also drove through the subway tunnel into the neighboring (locked) island and when I arrived surface side was p0wned by the police in 2 seconds. I also managed to jack the chopper (there's a fighter chopper parked at the airport. Entering the airport's tarmac gets you a 3-star wanted level) and flew it around and tried landing it on the Liberty Island analogue and was quickly taken after I crashed in the ocean and surfaced by a police boat.

This game has been a blast, looks great, and the story actually seems pretty damn interesting. Another, great, win for the GTA series and can't wait to see what else is in store for the GTA IV family down the road.

^ I wonder if it's random with Michelle, the bar was a bust for me as well but I got lucky after the cabaret. Got lucky on the first date after bowling also.

Managed to get a van onto the roller coaster but flamed from damage before I could ride the whole thing.

Anyone else find any cool little things to try?

Oh yeah, I can't wait to find another clothing store, I hate every single thing in that first one. Damn track suits....

I know. This area must be like New Jersey. ;)

I can't wait for more clothing stores, restaurants, and such too. I'm getting tired of this section of the city. It's a depressing dump, lots of construction, abandoned burned-out vechiles, trashy, dumpy, or just abandoned stores....

Hey. Maybe it IS New Jersey!

I took her bowling the first time, took her to the cabaret the second time (didn't score), yet got some the third time when I took her to Vlad's bar and drunk drove her home

We're a reasonable way into it in our flat. 30-40% maybe? It's great when you open up Manhattan - happens just at the point when you're fed up of driving back and forth between Brooklyn and the Bronx. Missions get pretty good too.

There are still things I really don't like about the game - the cover/aiming system is really, really frustrating at times - but it has grown on me some.

I'm not crazy about the cover system either. I think I'd like it a lot more if it had a system similar to Gears of War, where your character would jump from one cover point to the next, but instead I'll try and move forward but instead I pop up casually, walk over to the next cover spot while being shot up.

Although as soon as I had enough money, I started buying body armor from Little Jacob before any big missions, that has helped a lot.

I absolutely love the drunken effect. It's brilliant and almost makes me sick just playing it, but that's part of what makes it great.

I went drinking with roman and drove him home, but hit tons of shit including several cops, meaning I had to then evade a two star police chase while totally wasted. It's normally easy to get out of a two star, but not when you're having to deal with the drunken effect. awesome. I think I mowed over 30+ people on the way home.
