Spoilers Gotham - Season 4

Where does that come from, is that because the producers said he's not or something? If so and they've changed their minds, they should just eat crow and make it so if this twin thing is just to get around that. Or is there something more to it? I don't remember the particulars anymore.
The producers said a while back that Jerome won't become the Joker, but he will inspire the Joker.
David Mazouz also said it back in January, although this time he said will we be seeing the Joker soon.
So my theory right now is that something is going to end up dying, and because of the Joker gas or for some other reason Jeremiah will end up losing it and becoming the Joker.

I guess we'll see where they go with that. Even if it's the same actor, Jerome has grown on me over time and it will be weird if he's switched out with Jeremiah or whatever especially if it's just to fill the letter of those statements. Monaghan in the light outfit casually riding the elevator with a shotgun looked great.

Jerome is dead, long live Jeremiah! So it begins... still, I hate to see Jerome go, I've come to like that bastard. This has been so long speculated I don't think it really qualifies as a spoiler.

I think the blimp and crowd scene could be seen as a TV scale version of the parade in Batman 89. I'm sure everyone caught the Adam West Batman music pastiche playing when Gordon arrived, nice touch. I was surprised to see Jerome pop a couple heads up there.

I thought Gordon's plan to use Jeremiah and Bruce as bait was a bit out-of-character even for bonkers Gotham but not so egregious to ruin it. Nice touch with Gordon trying to save Jerome at the end despite it all, a bit of a touch of the Batman code there.

I wonder if we'll get to see the Batmustang, er proto-Batmobile (promo-Batmobile?) in action coming up. Not a bad choice assuming their obligation to sponsor Ford even if it doesn't really match the Gotham look though an older model like John Wick's would've been fantastic (and probably hard to obtain/maintain).

That shuriken scene with the League of Shadows was pretty great. Gotham pulls out some really stylish action sequences sometimes. I guess it helps that it isn't as fight-packed as some of the other comic shows and can take the time on them if they want.

So it looks like those of us who thought Jerome would die and Jeremiah would be the Joker were right. It is a bit of a goofy twist, but I'm just happy we'll still be getting Cameron Monaghan as the official Joker.
I'm curious to see where they're going with the two groups in the League of Assassin's (or is it Shadows here?).
I loved them leaving Oswald in the blimp at the end.

This show has no shame--THANKFULLY! It remains a guilty pleasure, and I hope it makes it back next year, although the ratings probably won't allow it.

That was the most blatant vehicular product placement since an episode of Bones where they demonstrated their sponsor car's ability to self-parallel-park.

Apparently, if Gotham gets renewed, next season will be a reboot.

I wonder how serious that is. Given the way the characters have developed, I wouldn't mind a time jump and just have Batman start.

Source? Are we talking about a time jump soft reboot or something more dramatic?

When they talk of a soft reboot it makes me think some cast members will leave and the show goes on in a different direction

For example

"Oh no Riddler is permanently locked up we won't see him again. Enter a new villain"

"Oh no Penguin can't be found. Let's move on and handle the new villains"

Sort of like how "Smallville" would tie up loose ends from the previous season in the first episodes then completely forget them

I bet an earthquake or something to cause massive devastation opens up the cave to a bigger set.

Wow, I'm already loving evil Jeremiah, I was pretty much expecting him to be Jerome with a different name, so I was pretty happy with how different he seems to be.
OK, so even if they won't say it, I think after it's pretty clear that Echo is Gotham's Harley. I wasn't entirely sure you could pull off a believable realistic version of Harley's Jester costume, but they actually managed to pull it off here with Echo. I didn't even realize until the end that it actually had a black and red diamond pattern similar to the comics.

That No Man's Land news is interesting. I'm curious to see just how different it will be. I wonder if they'll take anything from the comic storyline besides the name?

Two more episodes to go, and if there's a "hard reset", then cancellation won't be as... well tragic can't be the word for this glorious cheese, can it?

Evil Jeremiah is an interesting character, it's not the typical *Joker* performance, he's kind of dangerously sane in his madness. Cameron Monaghan does a good job showing three different takes: Jerome and good/bad Jeremiah.

Not sure about Echo, she has an interesting harlequin doll look but there’s not much else that says “Harley Quinn”. Seems more about the Joker’s fetish in assistants than specifically about the character.

IGN has a new interview up with Gotham showrunner John Stevens, and there a couple points I found particularly interesting. First of all he says that Jeremiah also will not be the Joker and that the swap between the Valeska twins happened be they "could never never use the Joker - Joker character". I'm wondering if this means they have just chose to not to do The Joker, or if they are actually forbidden from using him?
He also says that they have the final six episode of the series plotted out, but they are holding them until they know they are ending.

This whole episode was a tribute to The Killing Joke, the whole scene with Bruce going down the hall while the videos of Alfred played around him was a pretty direct take on what Joker did to Gordon in TKJ.
I'm really hoping they don't kill Selena, she's one of my favorite characters.
I have a feeling Ra's and Jeremiah teaming up is going to be very, very bad.
Harvey got some great moments in this one, first his reaction when the cops refused to listen to him, and then at the end after he stopped the bombs.
