Goodbye Murray Gold - Thanks for the Memories!

Of course, I also listened to the tune practically every day for the first few months of 2010. Basically right up until season 5 started. I might be a bit burnt out on it.

Though I suppose one could argue I wouldn't have done that had it not been a great tune. Sometimes being a fan is complicated business.
True. But, his score for End of Time was so good, he reused themes from there in both Time of the Doctor and Twice Upon a Time. But whatever the showcase, he was simply a great composer when he was at his best, and easily the best ever. With admiration and respect for Dudley Simpson, but I don't think he was much good until the late Pertwee and the whole of Tom Baker era.

I'm inclined to blame Moffat for any reuse like that, not Murray. Murray wrote a bunch of new music for "Day of the Doctor" that was thrown out & replaced with older tracked music; Moffat also wanted to keep using "I Am the Doctor" for Capaldi. I wouldn't be surprised if he did it elsewhere too.
