Goldsmith Recording Session Footage?

I know there are clips out there on YouTube of audio from some of the scoring sessions from TMP where you can hear Goldsmith and the orchestra doing different takes, correcting mistakes, etc. Everything I have run across so far is audio-only.

Just curious if anyone knows if there is any actual video footage from the scoring sessions from any of the Trek movies that Goldsmith worked on.

There are some snippets in the 'Tribute to Jerry Goldsmith' featurette on the First Contact disc.vlcsnap-2026-04-15-19h10m02s365.png

There'd only be footage if Paramount hired a crew to document the sessions, which wasn't as common prior to the 90s.

Probably true in most cases, but not always. There is footage of the scoring session for E.T., for example, because Steven Spielberg himself brought in a home movie camera and shot some footage.

Though there is also 'regular' footage of the scoring of E.T. that Spielberg did not shoot himself. As evidenced by the fact that Spielberg can be seen using his camera during it. :D
