what if the monarch verse movies are set in an alternate earth that almost like the one to the tv show monarch but there are some things are different from the movies

Most fictional universes, especially franchises with more than one series in them, are less consistent within themselves than they pretend to be. It's not alternate realities, it's just dramatic license.

Although, granted, now that Monarch has introduced time travel, there is the possibility of a timeline reset of some sort.

Season 2 (set in 2017) is filling in backstory for Apex Cybernetics, the villains in Godzilla vs. Kong (released and set in 2021). They've name-dropped its boss Walter Simmons and are showing the background of Apex's development of cybernetic interfaces with Titan nervous systems, which will eventually lead to Mechagodzilla. But the show's events still happen before Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019).

Godzilla vs Kong was released in 2021 but set in 2024.

what a season 2 episode 8 of monarch

I finally watched Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire this afternoon, and I really enjoyed it. It was probably the craziest, and most over the top movie in the Monsterverse yet, but with these kind of movies, I love crazy and over the top, so that was a good thing for me. I loved the deeper exploration of Hollow Earth and the Titans' history, and Scar King was a great villain. I really thought this one really hit a nice mixture of human and TItan storylines, with enough development and story to keep you interested in the people, and it all tied into what was going on with the Titans nicely.

I finally watched Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire this afternoon, and I really enjoyed it. There will be certain people in the industry that will say it is not cinema.
So what? I enjoyed the fuck out of that film, it was crazy over the top monster entertainment. I don't stuff like this for amazing performances and in-depth character studies. I watch it because my workweek sucked, it's a Saturday evening and I want to feel good. So yeah, good movie.

At the end of the Season 2 finale, Shaw travels to Thailand to see someone who can lead him to the location of another Titan, Rodan. I assume this is a setup for Godzilla King of the Monsters?

Also, if Kentaro and Isabel are getting Kong and Titan X to kill each other, how does that plot align with opening a rift into Axis Mundi? Don't they realize they need a Titan to open one?

To the first question, not directly, since

in KOTM, Rodan was nesting on a volcano in Mexico. The timeline is also still two years before KOTM. Preumably it's a setup for the season 3 arc, which will presumably involve Isabel attempting to use Rodan to get into Axis Mundi the same way she tried to use Titan X (or that's what Shaw's contact seemed to imply).

It may also tie into the upcoming Shaw-centric spinoff in some way, since I can't figure out when Shaw could've cultivated this Thai contact if he'd been in a Monarch retirement home the whole time, and the very existence of the spinoff implies that Shaw had some unchronicled adventures during the span of his supposed incarceration. Although the timing doesn't work out, since I think the spinoff is meant to be in the 1980s, and Shaw's contact would've been a kid then if he'd even been born yet.

To the second question, Isabel expected Titan X to win the fight and then open the rift. She wanted X to kill Kong because he was an obstacle to her plans, but assumed, as she told Kentaro, that X's maternal drive to protect her egg would give her the advantage and ensure her victory. Nobody ever said it was a particularly smart plan.

Just finished episode 9. Those siblings make the show so hard to watch. They’re just horrible characters that I just don’t care about. I really hope their story is done soon so we can move on to some new characters. We are getting closer so KotM so I’m hoping Bradley Whitford could join.
I heard that Rodan is in the next one which I don’t quite understand since he’s supposed to be sleeping. Maybe some tiney Whiney stuff happens.

The show is still set two years before the movie, so maybe Rodan will relocate to the Mexican volcano after season 3 and go back to sleep. Or there could be two Rodans, as there were in the original 1956 movie.

i wonder if there will be a season 3 of monarch

and i still think that monarch is set in a alternate earth that is similar to the earth that the monsterverse movies were set in because there are alot of somewhat missing plot holes in monarch that are somewhat in a way not connected to the monstervere movies

like where are the main charcters kento cate may keiko tim and lee from monarch in the monsterverse movies

and also where are all the main charcters from the many monsterverse movies in the tv show monarch

and the one thing that kinda doesnt match up is the hollow earth storylines where in the tv show if you go to hollow earth and stay there then time stays the same where on regular earth it was like time went by so fast but in the movie you return from hollow earth and it was like time also stayed the same and nothing went by fast

Really looking forward to this, Minus One was great. Oh and I love that the people behind it were smart enough to know that zero comes after -1, a lot of people would probably want to call it -2 since it's the sequel and sequels are usually 2.
