Godzilla, Kong, Gamera & Co.: The Kaiju Mega-Thread

i doubt that any of the main characters from the monarch tv show will even be in the up coming godzilla vs kong 3 movie

just like how i doubt that any of the characters in all of the monsterverse movies will be in monarch season 3

since the monsterverse movies seems to me in my opinion be set in a different monsterverse universe from the monarch tv show

The Monsterverse films barely have any non-Titan characters that have been in more than about two films. So it's not like that is a major issue.

Does anyone know what's up with the '90s Godzilla vs Mothra movie? I can't find it streaming anywhere, and the only way I've been able to find it on disc is either a Japanese Blu-Ray or as part of multi-movie sets sold by third parties on Amazon for insane amounts of money. I've started watching the Heisei era movies and it's the only one I haven't been able to find a reasonable way to watch.

JustWatch claims it's on the Criterion channel, not sure if that would be an option for you. I'm not currently subscribed so I can't confirm for sure, but the JustWatch link does go to a listing on their website. I think they offer a free trial for new subscribers.

OK, thanks. I don't really feel like dealing with a streaming service like that just for one movie, so I guess I'll just skip it for now.

Oh duh, I can't believe I didn't think of that, thanks.
EDIT: Just check all three library systems I use, Phoenix, Peoria, and Glendale and no luck at any of them.

It’s $200 on the Amazon listing I have saved. That’s still too much for a blind purchase.

£17 on the British Amazon. It’s the American Blu Ray as well since it never came out over here

It's a third part sale, so I guess the person selling it in England isn't expecting as much as the American.

Most of the prices for stuff sold by Amazon itself are reasonable, it's the third party sellers that ask for ridiculous prices. I just can't image there are a lot of people who are going to want to pay $299 for Godzilla vs Mothra, or $70 or $80 dollars for a Babylon 6 paperback novel that was probably only $6 or $7 dollars when it originally came out.

I've sometimes seen the movie pop up on YouTube and daily motion. But I understand if you aren't comfortable with that option.

There are channels on YouTube that legally licence movies and TV shows, so that's not the worst option. The problem is identifying those that upload movies without licence.

I tried looking on Youtube the other day, and it's not up there either. I tried just searching for the full movie on Bing, and the only thing that came up was some random site with a .ru address, and I am definitely not taking my chances on a site like that.

I sent a link to you.
