To me Godzilla vs Kong was the natural end point in the series, with both coming to an understanding about their respective territory. The last movie seemed like overkill and I didn't watch it.

I just turned on the last half hour of King of the Monsters on TV for background noise while I'm on my computer, and I just noticed for the first time that they play the original Godzilla theme when Godzilla first shows up during the big final fight with Ghidorah. I've seen the movie two or three times, and I'm shocked I never caught that before.
