That was incredibly goosebumps inducing.
That video is private is all I get.
Ditto, no worky.
And that was unfinished work too. Unfortunately they've now listed it as private, but it was cool while it lasted.
EDIT: Found one on Daily Motion, not as big though: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1pxies_welcome-home-godzilla_shortfilms
A much better look at the "villains" of the film too, very mantis like.
Thanks for the link. Nice sequence; can't wait for final film.
That was awesome!
It's interesting how the two different monsters introductions are built up; Godzilla's approach is one of immense foreboding throughout, whereas the Muto's appearance is one of unnerving eeriness.
There's a couple of vimeo links, in case anyone was interested in seeing the footage:
This sounds fantastic.
The music in the SXSW/WonderCon footage is Desplat's as well, though in a slightly rougher state according to Edwards.
EDIT: The WonderCon panel:
If anyone's interested, amazon has posted what I believe is the final cover for the novelization:
The official Facebook page for the movie has released a new trailer, following a request to hear people's Godzilla roars.
This one is by far the most MUTO heavy one yet, and possibly shows some of their origins, or at least the beginning of their attacks. This one could also be considered the most spoilery, so be warned.
I think this is the last trailer I'm going to be watching. I've seen enough to get me pumped for the movie, and I don't want to be any more spoiled than I have already been before I see it.
There's some nice hi-res screencaps from this trailer, if anyone wants a closer look at something from it here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/maulfan/sets/72157644446858885/
Sooooooo is anyone else jumping on the #godzillaalert bandwagon?
You can make videos of Godzilla coming to your town to track his progress around the world. The rules are here http://www.godzillaalert.com and the final submission date is May 9th. Make sure you tag it with #godzillaalert
Here's my video.
I don't remember where I saw the headline, but apparently Japanese fans are calling the new Godzilla "fat".
I better not make a somewhat racist comment.
He's not fat, he's just big-boned.
"Pigzilla" has been thrown around too. Also comments about his small head too
The picture above came from the art book and will be what people see on the big screen
