Glenn Frey dead at 67

I've been listening to the "Very Best of the Eagles" this week as tribute. Man there were so many memorable songs. RIP to yet another musician. 2016 has not started off well with the celebrity deaths so far. :(

Watching the Grammys this year will be a good idea for Eagles fans.

The remaining members of the band, plus original member Bernie Leadon, plus Jackson Browne will be doing a tribute to Glenn on the program.

No doubt they'll be doing Take It Easy, which Jackson co-wrote with Glenn. It would be a fitting song to do, especially with Leadon's banjo pickin' back in the mix.

The Rolling Stone story (which I can't find at the moment) didn't mention Felder, or Meisener.

I hope they can be included.

Felder still seems to be on the outs with the band, and apparently Randy Meisener has some medical issues that prevent him joining the band. Neither of which performed with the band on their "History of the Eagles" tour from 2013 to 2015, but Bernie Leadon did play with them on the tour.

Since Felder was fired from the band and subsequently sued the band (settled out of court for millions); I don't think he will be asked to appear with them. There is some really bad blood between Felder, Henley and the now deceased Frey.

It's a real shame but according to Felders book it was all about money; specifically how Frey and Henley made so much more than the rest of the band even though Felder was a full member and equal partner in the corporation.

Frey and / or Henley (sorry, can't remember) were utterly unapologetic about it on the recent documentary. They pretty much said that they wouldn't do it unless they were paid more than the others and the rest could take it or be replaced...

It's a shame when these long time band mates get greedy and let this kind of gabage ruin a good thing.

The Grammys start in 10 minutes. I don't know when the Eagle thing starts. The Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp) will play at some point too.

Glenn and The Eagles cut off Ed Sheeran's co-writer, what jerks!

I hope that's just how it was edited for TV and they really didn't trample on someone's acceptance speech. Still would have liked a better intro, I almost missed recording the segment.

Wow, that show really isn't about giving out awards anymore, is it? In the 2 hours I watched, they only gave out three awards.
