Giving STO Another Try

There should be a door on the righthand side of the courtyard, kind of down a little ramp. If it's not interactable you need to open the mission list and contact Law, not Horace Jones, and he'll start the mission for you.

I'll give that a trry.

So I went back, and checked. I had the correct ramp all along. It was Horace who hailed me, not Law so that's why it went weird I guess. What I'll do, is replay the previous mission and hopefully I can get things going.

So, redid Blind Man Tell All Tales, went to the exact correct door with the huge Shangdu sign.... I can only contact Horace. I checked everywhere in my mission journal, there was no option to contact Law.
I've been googling, and it seems that when some stuff in the storylines were re-organized the entire Nimbus arc got a FUBAR-ed and no one fixed it.

Yes. In Star Trek Online, the main issue with the "Cleaning House" mission is that it appears as an independent standalone mission from the contact Horace Jones, but it is actually non-functional or obsolete. It conflicts with the proper progression of the "The Undying" episode in the Wasteland arc. [1, 2, 3]

Causes and Symptoms
    • Ghost Mission: "Cleaning House" was an older separate space mission segment that was later integrated directly into the episode "The Undying". [1, 2]
    • Progression Lock: Picking up or trying to complete "Cleaning House" independently can break quest tracking, leaving players stuck or unable to trigger the space battle and subsequent objectives above Nimbus III. [1, 2]

How to Fix It
    • Drop the Mission: Open your Mission Journal, locate "Cleaning House," and choose Drop Mission. [1, 2, 3]
    • Track "The Undying": Manually hail or activate "The Undying" or related progression steps via your Mission Journal's incoming hails/episode tab rather than taking quests directly from Horace Jones. [1, 2]
    • Re-sync Map Objectives: If the space battle doesn't spawn properly after dropping it, try transitioning back to sector space or re-entering the Nimbus system to force the mission tracker to refresh to "The Undying" sequence. [1, 2, 3]

If you are stuck on a specific objective or prompt within "The Undying" or "Cleaning House," tell me what your current mission tracker says so I can give you the exact workaround.

Yep it's still bugged but it's more broken right now than what these guys were describing five years ago. The battle won't even initiate... at all.
I've redone the prerequisite mission, 'Dead Men Tell All Tales', three times now. Upon completion it launches into 'Cleaning House' and supposedly Hassan is in orbit above Nimbus III. All it says on the side of the screen is "Stop Hassan" with no map circle or pop-up communique to return to your ship. Also there's no option under Primary Mission to transwarp to the start point. If I select the only apparent available option, "Return to Ship", from the Captain Commands, I then load into the standard player lobby orbiting Nimbus III and, of course, no sight of Hassan.
The weird thing is, this is an alt toon. I successfully completed this at some point long ago with my main and I remember the issues they're describing above but whatever the workaround was back then, the mission was completable. Now it isn't as far as I can tell. I can't seem to find any current internet discussion on this clearly persistent and worsening issue. Any advice would be appreciated.
Edit: Also I'm on PS5

Follow up: I solved the issue I was having. Apparently 'Cleaning House' will populate after 'Dead Men Tell All Tales' but only if you've also done another prerequisite mission called 'The Undying'. Normally that mission would have already popped up on the screen but it doesn't and that's the bug. There's no indication that that mission ever becomes available. To activate 'The Undying', you have to know to go to Law in the Incoming Hails of your Mission Journal.
Edit: This bug occurs again during the 'Wasteland' chain for the final mission 'Installation 18'. For that mission talk to the Klingon named K'Men in Incoming Hails.
I hope this helps somebody.

^^^Did you miss any of the objectives first, as there are a ton, but beam out the 4 prisoners groups is a important one as the last prisoner group will tell you about the stronghold, which then activates taking over the stronghold objectives, clearing the strong hold, killing the taskmaster and then the door will be highlighted, and once you step up to it, it will say "contact Jones" who will then give you a "complete Bind men tell all tales" option.....but do not pick "cleaning house", ignore this, and head into available missions tab, and pick "the undying", and this will allow you access into the strong hold bar and the next part of the story.............i just did it, took 10 mins to run through it, but it is worth doing it for that distress beacon and you also get Law as a doff, and he is quite a good doff.

Seriously? Because I did all that and The Undying wasn;t there. I'm gonna try it again in a little bit.

For all its faults though I simply adore the Romulan Republic story, I know Nimbus is crossfactional, but it'll always be part of the Romulan story for me.

In the end, Installation 18 could also only be accesed through the Mission Logs, incoming from Drake.
Well, it's been ages since I played Nimbus but it was fun to do so again.

The Narada??

I remember them saying they would never include that one, due to the ridiculously large scale it would need to be rendered at compared to everything else in the game. It would theoretically be bigger than the Emerald Chain Juggernaut, Cnidarian Defender and Enterprise-J!

Welp... I got nearly 2B EC's burning a hole in my wallet, with a ton of unextracted revenue in vanity shield sales to fill the hole. Maybe I'll get one in the exchange and try it out. I am intrigued.

Well i have a prem token from last years event, so i might grab this ship with it as there is nothing else on the prem list i want to fly, apart from the Connie 3 which i grabbed last year, and was indeed a nice ship to look at and fly, and it has a nice console and came with 2 cracking narrow beam phaser arrays.

The Narada is scaled down, yes.

The Emerald Chain ship is also scaled down, the Ent-J is at the size Doug Drexler said he intended it to be, not sure about the Big Jelly Fish.

They did experiment with scaling down the Ent-J, but then noticed in testing that it wasn't needed.

The Terran Styx seems to be the odd ship out, where they designed a new ship that resembled the Terran Charon, instead of just scaling the original design down.

Ent J is not my fave ship by a long shot, as i find it way too flat to enjoy flying, and to me it looks like a large flat Gif and not a actual ship model. lol

I usual have 'Evasive maneuvers" as a space ability, usually with the added green radiation fart cloud trait for added guff.

Flying things like the Borg Juggernaut can be tiring in a quick TFO, when all the other players are whizzing around like psychotic hummingbirds.
