Giving STO Another Try

If you have a spare 150-200M EC's laying around +/-, you could always purchase an unbounded ship box from the Exchange. :D
I might try saving, as I've never bought one from there before. I've only really saved up to 10 mil each time, so I can get a key fron the exchange. Always a fools errand, but it got me a few lockbox ships over the years.

I actually once bought the Ba'ul Sentry Ship off the Exchange, which was awesome on the outset, until I realized that, once activated, I couldn't deactivate it so that I could start moving around again and set up for my next sentry start point after a battle had moved on. It's apparently a known bug that they never fixed. There are several workaround hacks that some folks have had luck with, but I've never been able to get it to work. I suppose I could always put the Teleport universal console on it and jump around, like I do with the Cnidarian, but I think I would kind of like to have something that just works the way it should, especially after an extremely high-energy battle takes out all of my sentries and I can't reset or get them back. :ouch:

I have used the CN to grind adv/elite random tfo and i almost have enough dil converted to zen to wait for the Disco is not dead choice pack so i can grab the D7 and the Baul account wide, with both making elite dil grinding a utter cake walk........assuming it comes back. :-)

Yeah took me ages to patch, but i think that might be because so many have come back to the game, which is a good thing in the long run, but once i got it all updated, it seemed to be ok.

It is gratifying to see continuing new content like this. Glad that it’s not on autopilot after the Embracer-Deca merger.

From that video he said sometime with either the winter event or the anniversary event. I'm thinking the anniversary event - as it would be 15 years since the game launched.

I was THERE for the destruction of the original STO ESD.

I do feel like it's kind of unnecessary. STO is for all intents and purpose an alternate timeline. It really doesn't match up to PIC.
I just let it all slide at this stage, im getting too old.

Been looking at the new Spacedock. Noticed there is a new section added onto the map. It shall be interesting to see what can be done with the shuttles. Still lots of work needs to be done, as you fall through the floors on some parts.

Checked and that is on the current map. Shows how I haven't been playing the game as much as use too.

I honestly never tried to reconcile STO with anything canon. It's just.. a game where you can play with Star Trek stuff.
I mean it kind of works if you assume the Enterprise-G is now out of commission and the F recommissioned (along with Voyager taken out of the museum), Seven went back to the Fenris Rangers, the villainous Borg shown are Jurati's Borg who went bad, and Worf got fired from Starfleet Intelligence (seriously, he didn't foresee the Frontier Day fiasco?) and went back to the Klingons.

If anything, the Frontier Day massacre (which happened a mere 8 years before STO) could explain why Starfleet is so desperate that they make your recent Academy graduate character into a commanding officer.

I mean you can fudge anything enough to make it work to a point.

Winter Wonderland event starts tomorrow, the grand prize is the Eleos from Picard Season 3

The Eleos was based on unused Concept Art for a previous version of STO, so it has kinda come full circle.
