And RB too, I'm impressed. That's one of the more brutal positions to play. I'd be interested to hear if she makes varsity one day - likely a smaller, quicker back, bouncing outside for big gashes of yards.

While I know of girls who have been kickers before, I've never heard of one becoming a running back. Best of luck to her. I hope it works out smoothly.
I seem to remember a gal in the MN state tourney last year that played RB. I think it was in the 9-man division, but I don't think it's all that uncommon. Maybe in smaller schools there's a little more opportunity. Playing at RB is gotta be tough, though. Hope she kicks some butt!

Looked her up, her name is Katie Hnida. She never saw playing time at CU, but transferred to New Mexico and scored a couple extra points there. And... that quoted bit has Gary Barnett (HC at Colorado during the alleged rape) coming off as rather an asshat.
