Gimme some names to do ST computer's voice

I'm pretty sure you were kidding, anyway, but one thing I think 99% of us could agree on is that the voice should be female. There are too many occasions where the ship has been referred to with feminine pronouns or as a lady for it to be otherwise.

Maybe Peri Gilpin who played Roz on Frasier? I always liked her voice.
Okay. I still like my suggestion of Lexa Doig, but I decided to think about this question from a non-meta perspective. Why would the ship computer's voice not be Number One anymore? And for the reason we figure out for that, whose would it be?
My reasoning is that perhaps since Uhura wasn't onboard during Pike's command in the original history, and now she is, maybe she spends some off-camera time working with Number One or whoever on the vocalizer for the ship's computer. They agree that since she has a pleasant speaking and singing voice, they should use her voice now.
Which means the new voice would be: Zoe Saldana

If it were modern Trek (say a very unlikely new TNG movie) if I was going to deal with the unlikely task of mentioning it I'd just have a throwaway line.

But I doubt theres any point in mentioning it as few will notice and the new/casual fans would shrug it off if they did. Though it is a real shame that link to the past has been lost.

Why? I liked him. I also like the guy who played the ghost that taught Patrick Swayze's character how to move objects. (No, I'm not good at remembering names sometimes.) Believe it or not, he's a good actor.
Suzie Plakson has a great voice. She'd make a great computer voice as she's capable of subtle nuances and inflection. I'd think she's play it as human but with little emotion, just as it should be. Or, as it has been!

Why not the Original KITT Voice, Mr. Anthony Daniels. He was Great in the Graduate, St. Elsewhere and Boy meets world....

Val Kilmer was a joke, by the way. I hope everyone realized that. I'd hate for J.J. to run off and hire him on my recommendation!
