Well, aside from the actual trademark ghost. Not to surprised, he really seems to have become their big trademark ghost.
I'm glad they paid their obligations with the last one and am looking forward to this next entry with presumably less baggage and a new(er) vision. I often find the second entry by the same team to be the more intriguing one especially when it comes to reboots as the filmmakers put more of their own stamp on it.
I hope the old team is in this one a bit more. I'm ok with the new people, but I don't think Afterlife quite did the "pass the torch" correctly. The whole movie was just a buildup for the last 15 minutes.
Agreed and I think they did such a great job at passing the torch (but with the option of Winston returning to help them set-up in New York) that I was surprised that all of them are returning again. The roles and dynamics are different this time around and I'm all for it.I felt it was quite brilliant what they did. Obviously, Afterlife played off quite differently, and I think it was done on purpose, to give the kids and viewers a sense of discovery, playing off more like a drama/adventure movie. When the old crew appears, that sense of whimsy returns, setting up the tone for a followup.

Janine is suited up and ready for action.
So I’m guessing they bought the firehouse back from Starbucks?
I finally saw Afterlife this week, and they reference the firehouse being a Starbucks now. Lol
