Geordi in future TNG novels

And we've seen how affectively other writers can use those characters in No Limits.

I have great affection for Waiting for G'Doh.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Good point, I'd forgotten about the anthology. And I really like that story too.

I just wasn't sure if it was some unwritten rule that PAD writes New Frontier unless... (insert whatever)

The whole reason I bring it up, is that I haven't really noticed the crew of the Excalibur interacting much with the rest of the Literature Series (But I may be wrong in that thinking, It's been a while.) For example, in DiW recently, a female Romulan half-breed known for her service to the praetor is mentioned and my first thought was Soleta, not
Sela
. I was actually disappointed. (My fault obviously, but truthfully Soleta could wipe the floor with
Sela
any day of the week)

Are there release dates for the trilogy?

If you mean David Mack's Destiny Trilogy, it's currently scheduled to be released in October, November and December 2008.

Except Soleta was busy doing her own thing in After the Fall and Missing in Action around the time of Death in Winter, so I think it would have been hard for to be in the role you suggested.

^Of course, It's hard to keep it all straight sometimes, especially when you're dealing with so many different "NEW" events happening at different points in time all over the place. I'd read both of those stories, but it had been so long since then and when I finally read Death In Winter, to my mind it could have been possible when I initially conceived of the possibility.

Regardless, it's just the most recent example I can think of when I thought a New Frontier character might pop up, but didn't. And I can't really recall any instances where they did for more than a cameo in a big event like Gateways.

Could Geordi build me a time maching to go into the future? :D

^ That [Geordi and Leah Brahms] would be the Genesis Wave books by John Vornholt.

Oh really? Is he finally getting her? Isn't that boring that the writers keep on dragging on the same woman for twenty years? Shows how much one can find Geordi a woman. There's only ONE in the whole galaxy that might find him interesting. *lol*

Why didn't he ever add TWO female attributes to Data and deepened his friendship with him? :guffaw:

But will Worf ever be allowed a command of his own though? As Sisko told him DS9: 'Change of Heart' that after the incident in that episode, he probably wouldn't
Sisko said that, yes, but that wasn't authoritative, and in the years since Sisko did say that, Worf has been a hero in a war (among other things, alerting the Federation to Damar's resistance, which was a major turning point in the war) and served with distinction in the Diplomatic Corps for four years. That can cover a multitude of reprimands.... :)

Plus, you can't tell me that an officer of Picard's stature couldn't just tell Starfleet he wanted Worf as his first officer and be able to call in enough favors to get it done despite what Sisko said.
