Geordi in future TNG novels

Where did you see these specs? According to Memory Alpha, the episode "E^2" established NX-01's crew complement as 83. MA's page of NX-01 personnel lists 73 distinct people, 18 of them MACOs.

^ The specs I've seen indicated the NX-01 and NX-02 had crew complements closer to 42.
In "Silent Enemy" Archer mentions 82 humans, plus 1 Denobulan, 1 Vulcan and 1 Beagle.

And that's after the 18 crew who died in 'Azati Prime', and the other deaths in the Xindi mission before that (2 IIRC)

He forgot to count Phlox's medical menagerie.

I'm bettin' that Porthos was counted, because he's Archer's pet & Phlox didn't consider the animals he used as pets, more tools to do his job.

I should have said, "the information I was given." I'm making a mental note to verbally flog my editors, as I must now go and rewrite several sections of Gods of Night, based on this new information. Thanks, all.

"Verbally"?

You're going soft, man...

^

Ya know, maybe the editors thought ya would kill half the crew, so they gave ya a lower number on purpose.

Just a thought...

;) :D

^ Yes. The three titles for the individual books of the trilogy were announced this past July at Shore Leave:

1. Gods of Night

2. Mere Mortals

3. Lost Souls

Destiny involves the entire Star Trek Universe right?

Would that also include an appearance by McHenry? Maybe?

I sure do miss that guy.

But, I'm not sure how use of the New Frontier characters work in the rest of the book series and if they can even be written by someone other than Peter David.

Anybody know?

Just because Peter David help create New Frontier (remember he co-created it with editor John Ordover) doesn't mean he has the exclusive rights to write about them. And we've seen how affectively other writers can use those characters in No Limits.

Without giving anything away, I can say that the sparing use I do make of the Excalibur and her crew in the upcoming trilogy will be respectful.
