General Trek Questions and Observations

Question: Does anyone know where I can purchase any Enterprise series uniforms or know of a designer who makes them here in California?? I would like to get one to wear next time I go to ST Con. Please let me know if there's a price and size chart with pre-made ones. Also any companies that make them other than Paramount Pictures. Appreciate any/all help in this area!!

were they someone elses memories - or a manufactured life?

I have always wondered that myself.

I can only conclude that it was some form of interactive simulation that allowed Picard to shape the outcome. If it was someone else's life, he wouldn't have "fought it" for the initial years.

Interesting though...

The people you stumble across in old Ed Sullivan episodes...Worf's mom as part of the cast of Oliver (which included future Monkee Davy Jones in another number) on the iconic night of the Beatles' American TV debut:

I will never forget that night, Davy Jones sang, "Consider Yourself" from Oliver and Unfortunately, my Aunt Anna, age 35, died while waiting to see the Beatles on the show. She had been born with a bad heart. She was only 35 when she passed and she never saw the Beatles (unless she watched from Heaven).

Simon Pegg does a fine job but I can't help wondering what real Scots would do with it:

"Set phasers tae malky!"

I have NO idea what that's from, but it was hilarious! Thanks so much for sharing.

Okay so a long while ago I watched an episode (pretty sure it was Next Generation but don't hold me to it) that the crew encountered a ship with all of it's crew was dead due to an unknown disease. I do know that it is not the one involving PSI 2000 as they did not board this ship due to a prerecorded hail once they got close enough. If I remember right the decision was made to leave the ship full of the dead in place if memory serves me right. Any and all help is appreciated!

I think you're thinking of "Unnatural Selection". The Lantree(?) has a quarantine beacon active when the E-D approaches. I don't think they just left the ship floating around afterward though...

Do you remember which crew members and uniforms they wore??? It would be a big help in order to determine which series this was on.

They blew it up! Those maniacs!

Could the episode be The Omega Glory from Star Trek? Kirk didn't destroy the Exeter.

No. We never were given the fate of the Exeter. The fanfilm Starship Exeter takes place after the events of "The Omega Glory".

I second the notion the episode in question is "Unnatural Selection".

So I did watch this episode and that wasn't the one unfortunately. The ship they encountered that I remember had a video message with a male officer that played after hailing approaching ships. Like I said I thought it was on Next Generation but I'm not entirely sure. Sorry to be difficult guys but I'm not having any luck in my research.

Of course, there's also that episode with a dead planet and a prerecorded message. That would be Arsenal of Freedom (though it has nothing to do with a disease, and they 'board' the planet too).

Then there is the Tarellian plague ship from Haven . But those people aren't dead (only thought to be), and there's no prerecorded message. They are in quarantine, though.

Don't think it would be either of them, but just mentioning them for the sake of completeness.
