Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

We did not agree on that... we agreed to disagree. Don't put words in my mouth.

Moving on...
It was a joke guy, even if you're wrong I'm closing off that dead end part of the convo on my end. As I said, moving on.

Wut? Timescape was directed by Adam Nimoy, Leonard Nimoy's son.
I used to have a great TNG memory, I guess it's faulty. So yes, the symmetry was just too good to be true. It was indeed Nimoy.

Excuse me... I'm not wrong. And neither are you... you have an opinion. There was no need to throw in another shot at me on your way to moving on.

And for the record, I don't take kindly to people putting words in my mouth or altering what I say without asking me for clarification.

Might have been a joke to you, but other people may not share your sense of humor in that regard. Please don't do it again.

It was clearly a joke, notice the the emoji. If you can't handle it it's your problem. I'll do what I like tyvm.

I noticed on Trekmovie that there is controversy over the Kurtzman quote about filler, though not in relation to Discovery, but because he was seen as "bashing" the previous era, which had textbook filler episodes.

Actually, as the internet has proven time and time again to be shown even with some emojis, some jokes or sarcasm is not clear.

I thought I was being polite by asking you not to use that kind of joking with me... usually, the courteous thing to do is nod and be done. I see courtesy is not present with you. Good to know. I'm done with you.

Going back to the thread...

I know they have changed the theme graphics every season, but have they done it multiple times within the same season before?
They haven't. This is the first time. It fits because I feel like this season is keeping me on my toes more than the others.

I also like that this season seems to be brining Discovery full-circle. Highlighting the strengths of the series now, but also bringing back elements from earlier on.

Okay, cool. It's a nice touch, adding those pieces to each title sequence. Reminds me of GAME OF THRONES where the locations were different in the theme depending on where the stories in the episode are taking place.

I just like they felt the need to do this.

32nd century proof of life. Last seen in season 1 Discovery and Short Treks.

Seriously?

Not everything is "bashing" a previous era. Not everything is an attempt to erase the past. It's just storytelling.
If you are seen as insulting the sacred cow of some older Trek, especially TOS, even if it's about a thread out of place on a costume, you're bound to get blowback.

Yep. The season premiere or the second episode of the year when a Tribble skutters up the wall of a corridor behind Burnham and Book.

No, actually. We've seen tribbles in S4 of Disco, in fact I'm pretty sure we'd already seen one at least once in S5 before this reference to a neutered tribble came along.
I looked up appearances for them on memory alpha, but they can't catch everything.

yeah we see one rolling down the corridor at the start of Season 4.

that goes for any series. Want to see blowback for criticism of a sacred cow? Take at look at the reaction my critique of Adira and Gray got.
