I just wanted to take a moment to write a farewell to my favorite Trek show, the show that launched this new era, the show that carried me through some dark times and embodies the best of who we are and who we may become. In its daring and in its humanity, it was and is the best of Star Trek.

Random thought, but I ran into this on Twitter for the 1,000,000,000,000th time and it annoys me every time.
When people think they are being clever or funny by referring to Discovery as "STD". Uhhh duuuurrrr I'm so witty because Discovery is like a disease so "STD" fits perfectly uh durrrrrrr.
Because as well all know, every other Star Trek show is abbreviated as STOS, STTNG, STDS9, STV, and STE.

Yes, I always thought the STD abbreviation for this show was rather lame.
I've touched on this on the other thread, those guys and gals are really happy Disco is finishing, like it's some sort of victory, they've 'won'(?) It's very strange. But I am going to miss their seething anger about a TV show nobody is making them watch, it always made me chuckle.
